tatoos with blood problems and soon to be on warfarin
last year i had deep vein thrombosis due to 2 blood problems and too much eastrogen from the pill. i have been off warfarin for about 6 months, but have to go back on it due to left-over residue and high-risk reoccurance. i am currently wanting a tatoo,
firstly, with my two blood problems pro-thrombien and factor v leiden can i get a tatoo, and then once i am on warfarin can i get a tatoo?

you could technically get a tattoo, but it would not be advisable. Warfarin is a blood thin, so it is essentially lowering the number of platelets you have in your blood, so you will bleed and not stop bleeding. This is not good thing for you or a tattoo. I would advise against it.

wouldn't while you on coumadin, sence it thins your blood you might bleed quite a bit more, my husbands been on coumadin, loveanox, now he's on arixtra. When he gets just a little cut he bleeds qute a bit. Sence while off couimadin I'd call your doctor about it, sence your body clots easily I wouldn't see a problem while your off. But I'd ask who Ever is in charge of your bloodwork, ie primary doc or hemotogist.
