Piggy backs and heparin flush? Doctors or Nurses pls answer...
what is a piggy back? where on the tubing is it connected to? should it be placed lower or higher than the main solution?
When to use heparin flush? When flushing with heparin using 3-way stopcock, the line to the patient should be closed or open? what part of the line should be closed? what part should be open?
Additional:
Is there any good and informative websites on IV infusions? or perhaps showing actual IV catheter insertions?
