Hello all, I have been on Heparin injections since I ws 6 weeks pregnant, they are keeping me on them for the whole duration of the pregnancy, I have read on a number of websites and information sources that Heparrin can cause Osteoporosis (weakens the bones) if used over months. What I would like to know is if any other women out there have been in the same boat and if they turned out ok and their babies?
Osteoporosis is listed as one of the possible side effects after long-term use of heparin. But to act on this, patients are routinely monitored for symptoms throughout the treatment.
