What exactly is Dianabol???

My husband had a steroid problem before we met. He SWORE to me that he would never touch them again. Recently he got back into working out and was taking all kinds of supplements. He bulked up pretty quick and had a few people ask me, "is he doing steroids?". It was mostly just joking around. Today I found some little pink pills marked with A X on the back and from what I can tell, they're Dianabol. I'm confused. Are they anabolic? I really no nothing about steroids except what I've learned on line in the last hour. I want to be well informed when I confront him when he gets home. Please help!
