autoimmune disease?

i have been to several doctors about symptoms i have such as hives ,swelling from inside ans sometimes i cant even swollow and also flamation of my colin i think the doctors are idiots and cant do their jobs right because they keep puting me on pills that arent doing the job and i still have my hives i dont know what to do anymore its either dont take medicine for the rest of my life and die or keep taking all these different pills that for me arent really doing anything got any advise?

It's quite hard to give any advice without seeing the complete data. Were any lab tests or confirmatory tests done to come up with a diagnosis? As you may know, there are a lot of autoimmune diseases. As for the hives, there may be a lot of causes, from allergic reaction to an irritant. It can also be associated with SLE, thyroid disease and coeliac disease. Get a referral to a specialist (if you're totally disappointed with general practitioners) and have diagnostic tests done (if none yet) to make an accurate diagnosis.
