Does anyone know the answer PLEASE! Autoimmune disease.?

My husband has been diagnosed withCIDP aka (chronic GuillianBarre).He had a seizure last month but all tests came back negative.The neurologist felt the seizure did not fit with this diagnoses.He cant walk and has excessive sweating.We have an appointment at Johnshopkins next month.I feel like he is dieing .Is this disease fatal?? He helped out in Katrina in 05 and had late in life immunazations.I have not been able to sleep .Does anyone have any answers ? Please help.

I agree that the seizure doesn't fit with the diagnosis as a seizure happens in the central nervous system.

The human body is remarkable, don't give up hope. I will also pray for his recovery.
