inject humans with HIV to counterbalance incurable autoimmune disease?
I know it sounds nuts, but could this be a possibility? If HIV greatly weakens the immune system, and autoimmune diseases result in an over-active immune system, wouldn't combining the 2 be perfect? If the patient gets treatment to prevent it from progressing to AIDS, should they be ok.
I know it would be highly impractical because this would result in a HIV pandemic. BUT im curious as to whether or nor it makes sense IN THEORY
