Italian Sausage is on a distinguished road
Since Diabetes is an autoimmune disease, is it safe for diabetics to take ECHINACEA
Echinacea has a warning label on on the bottle that says not to take if you have an autoimmune condition.
I am adult onset insulin dependent.
correction: Diabetes is an autoimmune deficiency
Hecla, you need to get your facts straight. Diabetes is an autoimmune disease. I have Latent Auto Immune Disease...which means Over 30 adult onset insulin dependent. Some refer to this as type 1.5. Read the attached so you have a better understanding of diabetes and next time you will know how to answer with facts:

It is the law, they have to state the "warning" on all herbs and vitamin supplements.
Echinacea improves immune function. If diabetes is an autoimmune deficiency wouldn't it only make sense that echinacea would be an added benefit to ones heath regimen.
