Hey guys, just started here at PR. I was a long time DB poster and figured everyone migrated here. Anyway, this looks like a great new place to call home.

SWIM has been looking for quite some time for information on theses sources. I have tried a lot of places over the years, and gotten taken about 50% of the time. What's a guy to do. I suppose that's better odds than had I been playing the lottery. In any event, there does seem to be some quality info on this board. I'm really hoping so.
welcome@mott02 to PR.there are a lot of past db members here.you may find the rules here are a little different than db.make sure you read the rules for PR and i am sure you'll have some interesting things to say.always glad to have a new member.
As a Very Long DB Member, I am confident that you will find a lot of Good Stuff here.
I'm another db refugee. I was a lurking member there for years and I was sad to see it go. I've looked around here for a few months now, but this is my first post.
I have no idea what DB was like but from what I have read it wasn't good at stopping scammers .
Just follow the rules of this site and it will be your best friend and a WEALTH of info. Rules are for to protect all involved..

In my opinion this website is quite a bit different from DB in many ways, but we have seen many joining from DB here in the past few months.
I’m sure you’ll find lots of useful information, and the community and atmosphere here is much better I think.
Welcome to you both.
yes welcome! i'm new here as well & was also a long time member of DB. But, i really like this site so far and everyone seems to be good people!! Glad to be here!!
What is DB? Sorry...I'm new to all of this. Geez, 10 years ago it was so easy to order weight loss meds online and all I am getting are sites that change the word of med by one letter and want to charge $3 each!! What is going on??
@UGAgal DB had its problem with scam artist, but we've had a few here also. DB for those who used it correctly was a pretty useful resource:-)
@magda , DB stands for DrugBuyers.com...It was an old forum some what like this one with info about just about everything, but mostly a place for folk to find medicine they needed.
Thank you! I just read a notification that new members receive and realized that I broke some rulesOops... It's weird because I live in a state that I can go to a storefront next to my grocery store to purchase pot but I can't find a good resource for real weight loss meds!
DB had a ton of information and if you read voraciously you could pretty much figure out what was going on with any vendor. Yeah, there were scammers but sometimes as they say "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". It was pretty easy to spot scammers and "keep an eye on them". This place is good too, just a little different. One comparison I will make is that the moderators and administrator here keep things going "on an even keel" and intercede minimally, stepping in only when it's clearly necessary. There were times at DB when it seemed like the moderators were a little "trigger happy".

@DevilishOne , I've tried reading voraciously and got a headache :-) I't been years since I've gotten meds online. When I did 8-10 years ago, you would order by noon and have it fed ex'd to me the next day! I guess those days are over. I'm not asking for specifics, just yes or no, but are there any american sites that still offer that kind of service? Or do I have to order from another country and keep my fingers crossed?

Welcome to PR @mott02, I have no knowledge of what DB is/was but from some light browsing of the web for a good forum PR looks to be the best of them in terms of help and information.
With some patience and dilligence, you'll be able to find what you're looking for, but it will be considerably more expensive than going to Walmart with a valid prescription. I noticed you said you were embarrassed to speak to a doctor about your weight, but it may well come down to getting over that and paying a reasonable amount for your meds or pay several times that and rub the risk of getting fakes or jacked altogether.

Barkingmad is dead on right. If you choose to go with an on-line pharmacy, read as much as you can, get a feel for the way people post so you know the value of the individual posts and find a place that will let you make a purchase small enough that you can spend only what you can afford to lose.

Thank you. I might look into going to dr. It is just so difficult for me with three kids and a hubby who travels most of the week. And when he is home, love him, but he's pretty useless with the kids (:
I can't believe the stories I am reading about fake meds or being ripped off. When and why did all this change?
When? In the last 4 or 5 years. Why? For the $$$$$$. Even if/when you find a reliable OP (and don't despair, you can) it will not be permanent. People can't resist the money. Again, if you read the threads you'll find numerous examples of glowing review OP's that eventually turn. And also, be prepared to get cold call telephone solicitations. If you give out a phone number, make sure it's one that you don't really care if it's spammed.

@pharoahs,
It didn't take long to them to figure out a working business model that maximizes profits. First, remember what they do is illegal, so they can't stand still for very long. So even if they're delivering product, they have to pull up stakes and move to another site, email, etc. SO, if they're going to have to do that ANYWAY, wait until they have a large number of orders, cash in without delivering and resurface in a few weeks with a new name, etc and then it's rinse, lather, repeat. Once LE started catching on to the online gambling and "medicinal trade" business, that provided the environment for this to happen. Couple that with rising malpractice insurance due to doctors being sued by their own patients for "getting them hooked on XXX" , you get a perfect storm of physicians unwilling to prescribe, a steady stream of people looking for relief and people willing to capitalize on that and there you are. The crazy thing is that in the case of painkillers, the prices of mass-produced legitimate pharmaceuticals being sold on the black market is now so high, many people are switching to heroin because its what they can afford. Clearly, the laws have not been kind to patients in need.
