    Default Opened Package Delivered

I recently received a packahe that had opened by customs, resealed with their official looking green tape and then delivred. I wasn't home and had to go sign for it. I found it a little creepy that someone would open the package, see what was inside, and the continue the delivery. I saw mentiones on older posts but no hard facats. Anybody had this experience or know someone who has. At first I was waiting to be arrested at any moment after signing for it .. but more and more I'm guessing ewither someone didn't know what they were looking at or the knew what they were looking at but it wasn't what they were looking for.

    Any thoughts?

This happened to me last week. I didn't have to sign for it but a package was waiting in my mailbox. It had the green tape around the edges plus they had stamped the front saying it had been inspected by inspector # so and so. It sort of creeped me out for a day which, I guess is the whole point. I'll let you guess where it was shipped from. Everything was accounted for, even the sample.

Was there an LL in it?

If not appears it got through.

Had heard of them letting very small amounts through (did not apply with me - only 30) or you are right they did not know what it was but wanted the green tape to let you know who opened it, or were so busy could not be bothered.

I'd say it's as you say, people are people and unless they have a quota are inclined to pass on semi legit stuff. It probably happens for different reasons but I believe the inspector has some discretion and often uses it - from the tales I've also heard.

Just par for the course I'd say. Is this WSM delivery?

Its good to read everyone elses reactions to this, (and i'm not the only one the got really freaked out)

i only had 30 tablets which i very methodically rushed round: took them out of the blister strips, put them in a paracetamol bottle (as they were unmarked looked like paracetamol) put the bottle in the firsta aid box and burnt all the packaging!! then sat there worrying how i was going to explain this to the mrs......

I've never received a package that wasn't opened by customs then resealed & sent through. Perhaps I just have good luck though. Unfortunate good luck.

It has happened to me. I seem to recall that the note implied that they opened, they saw, they didn't necessarily approve, but sent it along. I also seem to remember that it wasn't a "seriously controlled" medication.

That happened to me once, the order came from Costa Rica via DHL, & it was for the old formula OC, only 20 pills, & it got rerouted to one of their main hubs
They opened the letter, & the envelope inside the letter, then threw it all back in & sent it to me. Some of the pills were not in the little envelope inside the letter, they were just laying at the bottom of the DHL letter, but they were all there.
I was shocked that they sent it, maybe they didn't know what they were, or didn't care, I was just happy to get it.
Oh yea, & they did put a note in it saying that it had been opened & inspected.

First off, it's nice ot hear 'It's a common enough occurence" stated a bunch of different ways. Based on one teensy experiment with one med, it far exceeded my expectations. The downside was - and i have no idea where this happened - pre or post inspection. Lotsa stuff got crushed.

The vendor has a bit of honor about him. I sent a few photos of what I got and we agreed a 50% refund was in order which I thought was fair since at least half the order was in some way useful to me. THe part I RALLY wanted was smushed beyond recognition.

The refund has alread been issued. Bumpy yes. Rip off - definitely not. I reported it around 1 .. we talked .. I've got my refund already.

@Peaches .. it almost looked like some of the damage inside the package came from whoever open it. I gues that's their way of having fun with stuff they don't want to fill out paperwork on..

By the wya .. to those who asked .. no ll.

Well the important thing is you get your merchandise and not a LL. I've never got a green taped package before but I have received several items that were slit open (clean slits like from a knife or razor blade/exacto knife). There was one slit all the way across one end on one package, I was surprised the contents hadn't fallen out. Maybe it was done at the Pt. of Origin (Argentina) or maybe US customs just ran out of green tape...who knows.

From what I understand, COUNTERFEIT meds are on the radar more than just illegal ones. Also, didn't you letter contain only sched IVs? Probably not enough quantity or strength to make it worth doing the paperwork to ship it back.

I've had a couple of parcels intercepted, opened and had one thing removed and the rest of the contents then forwarded to me with the yellow tape and a notice in there. Someone sent me a package of american candy bars and bubblegums and some of it wasn't allowed into Australia, i'm assuming maybe certain ingredients?

I also had a box opened that contained some jewelry that was taped up in yellow Australia Post tape but had no notice in it to say that it was opened at all.

I just find it odd that I had a major online shopping problem and was getting clothes sent to me all the time from the states and not a thing was ever opened just recently. Might have just been luck i guess!

I had a package opened by customs along time ago. It scared me so bad I didn't order anything again from them. They didn't remove anything though and I never heard anything more about it. I had been ordering from the same place for awhile and always received my order very quickly. Well this time my order was stuck in customs for along time but then it was sent on and everything was in tack. I wonder why they do not confiscate the medication?

I don't know if Bungalobill also had a stamp to say that his package had been inspected, but if so I suggest that you both keep them - along with the invoices stating what they contained.

The fact that the packages were inspected and delivered without comment is obviously reasonable grounds for you to assume that the contents were legal.

This could be an important mitigating factor in any future legal proceedings concerning the same substances.
