Does Customs come calling?

I've been looking for an OP where I can get our(hubby and moi) pain meds. We would like to pay less
than $100 for 180 tramadol 50mg. I can't seem to find a USA site, but have seen several IOPs with good
prices. I am scared of LE, period.
If US Customs confiscates someones meds coming to them through the US Post Office, do they ever go
banging on recipients doors to arrest them? Please give it to me straight. TIA

I have only gotten 2 customs letters one was 5 years ago and one was 2 years ago. They say they have confiscated whatever it is (MO, Meds, etc.) and give you a certain amount of time to claim your goods/money and that has pretty much been it. I guess if you get them over and over, it may raise some eyebrows, but think of all the items coming into the US that are confiscated now that we have Homeland Security and what kind of budget the US has to follow up on them all. The odds are they are not going to bat an eye, but send you "the letter" in the off chance a confiscation occurs.

@Penny , I've been receiving modest OP shipments for several years without problem, and can't speak directly to your question, but I have friends who have been long receiving off-shore shipments of a different eyebrow-raising commodity: cigars from a certain Island 90 miles South of Key West Florida. The experience of one of my friends who does that a LOT parallels that noted by @OhSuzannah . In his case, the goods were not confiscated. Instead, LE had "co-opted" the offshore provider of the merchandise and had obtained that provider's sales records. My friend simply received a letter from customs well after the fact stating the facts, reminding him of the law, and letting him know the penalty for repeated infractions. Several years later this guy got a second letter (he's not sure if it resulted from the first situation), and that second letter was in stronger words, but it was still just a letter.

If anyone contacts you asking for money to drop "charges" against you for ordering stuff, tell them to get stuffed. Its an old scam. But no they wont come around asking questions. If anyone did, i would have a lapse of memory and deny all. But it has never happened.

a safe inexpensive US OP first.

it will say you can claim your property if you can provide a copy of your drug importer license. which if you had one you wouln't be orderin from an IOP. best thing to do is act like you never ordered and forget it unless your supplier will re-ship. some do if you send a copy of the letter

@PennyPinch -- If you decide to use an IOP, check out ClickRemedy. They have the cheapest, quality Tramadol I've been able to find so far (I buy their generic brand). I've been ordering from them around 2 years & have had no problems. I don't have any experience in ordering from US OP's, so can't help there, but there are others on this forum that can probably help with that, as well.

I've gotten 2 cuswtoms letters in the past 5 years. Both were packages from China that got seized. The letters were identical & nothing ever came of them. Just lost the order & my money but no other problems. I don't think customs cares too much about small personal use amounts of meds.

on the 60 minutes video that someone here posted a while back. the head of customs in new york said that as long as it's a legally prescribed drug in an amount conceivably for 90 days of three dif drugs they don't care. they leave it to individual states to verify prescriptions. that's why you read stories of packs opened by customs and sent on. i have had two opened and delivered with green tape and the contents written on the outside. he said they are looking for illegal drugs and counterfiets. that's why blistered meds are way smarter than loose pills. even though the loose ones may or may not be real. they have no way of knowing if not in blisters. and yes i know blistered meds can be fake as well but the chances are slim. especially with benzos. blistered pain meds are a dif story.

I have twice received curious packs- one had been damaged in transit, 300 x 2mg alp bars clearly visible but just put into a plastic wrap and delivered with a 'sorry for damage' note!
Customs slit open the top of an order a couple of years back, but seem not to have opened up the carbon paper wrapping or they would have found 60 blisters of Terapia 10mg inside, wrapped in pages from a Romanian newspaper. Just a note telling me the mail had undergone 'routine inspection'.

There are a few great places, IMO, here in the US that ship tramadol but I'm not sure if they ship to Texas, where I think you are from. Is that a no ship state? If not, try RXsaves or goodcentsRX. They are both good and a little over $100 with shipping, I believe. Also, I think they only do COD which I prefer but I don't know what your preference for that is. I hope that helps. For something like Trams, though, I would definitely recommend just going with a US OP, as it seems safer than going to an IOP for a non-controlled drug like tramadol.

I am told they now they toss the items and no LL is sent due to financial resources and the time involved. I ordered something that never showed and this is what the supplier told me. After time and success I have no reason to doubt this but can anyone confirm? Has anyone gotten a letter in the last 6 months?

There was one item that I didn't received, which sat inbound into customs since August 8 of last year. The tracking finally stopped showing anything because it was too old. I never received the item, nor did I receive a LL. I did receive a re-ship since the vendor was able to view the tracking and see that it was never delivered.

Now that i have read this forum (freakin crippled with anxiety BEFORE my CC seizure) and figure to just re order from a more reputable merchant) am i sticking my neck out too much to chance a complete retry thru customs? I have never even gotten a ticket jaywalking, i have a new marriage to an incredibly good but obsessively honest chemically virginal lawyer..... Who would just not look at me the same way if he knew i feel so stressed at times and would love to have the medical help alot of folks seem to get.

Whatever the outcome of my problem, i will certainly share it with all you folks, and hope to help someone as you have helped me. Ps my husband has no problem drinking a bottle of good red a night but i wouldnt do that to my figure

The LL was to indicate that they have taken your package and destroyed it in probability. As people as indicated, you will not get a visit unless maybe it was a schedule I.

There is one more option you can look at: IOPs who don't ship via postal mail. Big Brown and Fred don't get inspected at near the rate that USPS mail coming into the country does.

I cant tell you all how much i appreciate your helpful comments. Having a few days off here up in the Great White North i have been reading and reading..... Delivery out here in the wilds however is postal service only, one step off from the dog sled run.
Of all the reading i gotta say the fellow who got drug tested and kicked out by his family doc stayed with me, shocking. Small wonder the 'war on drugs' isnt ending anytime soon... When citizens who seek help within the system are humiliated like that. Did we all wake up in Germany circa 1940 something? Our folks fought that war and came to the land of the free.... Courage all, personal responsibility, and consciencious objecting til things change...
