    Question Posession of non-controlled substances.

is it illegal to have in your possession a prescription drug, say Lipitor, without a prescription. Lipitor clearly isn't a controlled substance and I doubt the criminal justice system would waste the resources on you; but at the end of the day can I legally have these items on my person without a prescription?

Default what do you have on ya?

Actually, as the law is written any drug that cannot be bought over the counter or is prescription strength as in 6 or 8 hundred mg ibuprofen is possession of prescription legend drugs.Period.

It all depends if (They}"LE" are out to "Get YOU"or you have been on there bad side before ..it's as simple as that.

I know it is illegal, just another stupid law especially for something like the ibuprofin example that was mentioned. You can buy 200 mg ibuprofin, carry them around, and take 3 if you need 600mg, but if you have one 600mg ibuprofin pill in your pocket you go to jail (well probably not in reality...but still against the law).
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in...

Default If the're out to get you.

One of the Guys that was in the service with me years ago..has had many run in's with the law.He was on probation. The prosecutor was pissed he only got probation .When they swabbed him at the DNA test they did a quick dip for drugs. It was positive for coke..They charged him with possession in the courthouse .Possession of the swab, which had coke residue of milligrains...He then got Time...."They were out to get him"HE needed the best lawyer. He could not afford it.SO,it was the public pretender.

It is illegal - I know in Wisconsin for instance you can be charged with a Unclassified Misdemeanor "Possession of an Illegally Obtained Prescription Drug" a charge that applies when LE finds you in posession of a NON-SCHEDULED substance which YOU DO NOT have a prescription for - and IMHO they can be *******s about it - my friend got charged for this for having an unlabeld bottle of Amoxicillin in a car that was searched (NO JOKE) - So YES - at least in WI - possession of a NON-SCHEDULED substance which you don't have a script for is illegal

Like others have said it probably depends on the situation like if you have a record or not, the police officer and how you are acting and type of Mrs etc. I'd be willing to be if you have something say like soma in states where its not scheduled they would probably treat different than if you have lipitor. Just my opinion though.

Type of meds I meant. One again I hate this phone keyboard!!!!

Geez, that sucks balls. I'm a prepper. If you don't know what I mean Google SHTF and you'll see what I mean. I've got bottles and bottles of antibiotics of all kinds. I live on the Gulf Coast. When Katrina II comes, and there are no paramedics, no EMTs, no hospitals, and no doctors, I don't want to cut my arm and die of sepsis. Oh well. That's the law I guess.
