I know a few people who have tried it and ended up dropping it after a couple weeks, so I would assume not although I've never used it myself.
However, the best possible way to lose weight is to eat properly and exercise. Don't diet, don't take drugs, don't take herbal supplements. Just watch how you eat, keep it balanced, and do some exercise every day or even every other day. Everyone has 20 minutes to spare, I don't care how busy you are!
