when people say god bless you after you sneeze.

Do you know its funny you should mention this, but the other day I was going to do just that. We were brought up to say bless you in our house, (not god bless you ) but I suddenly thought what if the person is offended, the worlds gone all Politically mad so it may not be appropriate. I often say it off the cuff to anyone who sneezes, and they usually seem surprised and say thank you, its like patting someone on the back if they are coughing but I have to admit, I won't be saying it anymore.

@Loubitan Please remind me to never go clubbing with you! A pet peeve is when you're shopping and they say may I help you when you only have your toe in the door. Also when you go out to eat fast food and they ask what you want to order before you can even get to the counter. I'd like it if they would give us a bit more time.

Pet Peeve:

I call it the Half Hour Right Hand Turn, you've seen it, it goes like this:

The car in front of you puts their blinker on to turn right into some business, plaza, driveway, etc. They then slow down to about 2 MPH as they spend the next 25 minutes SLOWLY maneuvering their vehicle into the turn and subsequent destination as though they were in a HumVee carefully navigating a mine field.
Come on people! Do you really think you're going to mess up the suspension or bottom out in your 1986 Dodge Caravan?????

Get out of my way, unlike you I would like to arrive at my destination prior to death !

Ugh, I hate that so much! And also, they leave the corner of the car sticking out on the road when they're going up that little ramp on sidewalk that leads to the parking lot, so if you start speeding up again, you have to weave a bit into the next lane to not clip them.

My pet peeve is people who demand insurance info when there is absolutely no damage to either car (e.g. a 2 MPH "collision") I had a rear-end accident that was a little bump that caused not even a scratch (literally nothing),and happened because the guy in front of me is turning so you follow, but suddenly decides to stop on a dime, so naturally I tapped their bumper by accident. But they get out and demand your insurance anyway to file their $0 claim to increase your premium.

Yes..Drives me bonkers!!
McDonald's drive up.
They assume we have memorized the menu and
eat there everyday breakfast, lunch & dinner.
An "OK order when you're ready" would seem to be
the obvious solution.
Also if they would place the menu B4 you arrive at the ordering
box so you could observe the menu and be ready..

@Rowell10mg I know it's crazy. What about when you are in the drive-thru and they give you the total and tell you to pull up to the window to pay. Before you even get there they have their heads out the window, with their arms sticking straight out, blurting out the total over again staring like crazy. I'm like I heard you, I was operating a motor vehicle, give me a sec and I'll get the money for you. Ridiculous!

@Diamond22 - This happens to me every singe time I go shopping, and if I'm in a bad mood, I always feel like punching the sales person in the face How the heck can they possibly help me when I haven't even had more than 1 second to look at the clothes or other merchandise. Maybe they are just bored or maybe their bosses require them to do this, but it sure annoys the hell out of me, especially if I have raging PMS. I know the sales people are just trying to be nice, but could they please just give me at least a few minutes to think about whether or not I might actually need any help. I feel bad for them because I know they're just doing their job, but they are in danger of being punched in the face by a stressed out mom with raging PMS

Solution. Say "You're all set." in a FIRM tone. (No,I'm all set!)
Works like a charm as they shrivel off.

A pet peeve of mine is when neighbors, friends, or even family just stop by our house out of the blue without calling first to say that they're coming over. I would just appreciate a little warning so that I can be dressed appropriately and so that I can make sure that the house doesn't look like a tornado just blew threw here

@Rowell10mg - That's better than not calling at all, but it's still a pet peeve. Now whenever people don't call at least 30 minutes or so before they're coming over, or they call when they're in our driveway, I just hide with my daughter until they go away
