Smile ~PR Community House Party....~ Come on in!

I've been so touched and impressed by the love, caring, and support that members have recently shown for fallen members. I feel like this place is home for many of us. Yet I've come across several posts where there are still some members who feel disconnected and isolated. Some others have expressed the community vibe is wearing thin. So I've been inspired to make this thread for all of us from the heart.

The whole idea for this space is to meet all types of people and to make some new best friends. Are you tired of just posting here and there, about subjects? Is that all there is to life? Ever wish that you had your own home hippie base, here? A place, “Where everybody knows your name.” Well, this is your living room and you get your own free bedroom down the hallway, for your own stuff, too. It’s a big house. Lots of couches and big old high back cozy chairs in the living room. Our Living Room. Yours.

This is a Chat type space. Not about posts. About talking with one another. A chance to make real friends. Everybody could use a half dozen more new friends. Right? If this sounds good to you, then you live here. I just drop by to see how things are going. LOL This is an experimental lifestyle. Can you do that?

You are the hostess. You are the hosts. All of you. Make everyone feel comfortable here in your living room. Try to keep the cocktail party chit-chat going. Very little silence, if you can help it. Keep it active. Make others feel that they belong here too. They might relate well to you.

This is the good PR fun friends place. Please try and make everyone really believe that. Make new friends and then introduce all newcomers to your new circle of friends. Make it Real. Keep it Real.

This space is Paradise if YOU make it that. Share. Talk. Hostess. Spread the LOVE. PR community!
Always remember, you may meet different kinds of people, and everyone is different. It would be human nature if people got with certain other people who have much more common interests with them, and they split off, to their own friend space, (Your bedrooms.)

The main theme is love friendship, and lots of laughter please respectfully enjoy! I'm looking foward to making some new friends myself. I hope everyone can make it. See ya! 216844fe306b26e747 - ~PR Community House Party....~ Come on in!216844fe306f071a79 - ~PR Community House Party....~ Come on in!

Diamond, my dear, that's such a good idea. We all have our own problems here, yet people is hardly ever judgemental and yes, I can feel the sense of community that makes this place different from many others where you have constant flame wars and members who are totally selfish. It's not all about taking about pain, or meds - how they help you and how they make you miserable - it's more like I care for a bunch of people here, and surely getting to know each other better is a plus... this is also a good thing for the nebies who say ''how can I be helpful if I'm basically uninformed about meds and sources?'' But whe it comes to our lifes, our victories and defeats, the way we look at things, well everybdy has something to say that can be of inspiration to all. It's a lot easier many times to open up you heart in a place like this than in real life, so I'm in game, let's see how it goes.

    Ciao,

Thanks @Perromaldido I hope you stop in often. It's been storming like crazy in my hometown and some homes have flooded. I may volunteer to do some sandbagging and clean up if my back holds up. I know alot of basements have been washed out. On the bright side of things Tatum Channing one of my favorite actors/dancers has a new movie coming out that looks hot and sexy. I rarely go to theaters but I got some tickets in a gift package that I better use up or lose value. So how's everybody?

Hi @Diamond22.Thanks for creating this thread it sounds like a nice comfortable place to be & I hope to step in often. We've been suffering with the high temps. from a mini heat wave, so I've not been doing anything really.I've just spent the last 2 days reading in the garden which is lovely but makes it hard to get my gardening done. All my flowers are not loving these temps. but better days are on the way.I tend to love the hot weather because we get such awful winters. So I soak up the sun whenever I can.I've got quite a tan at this point & even though it's not good for our skin it still feels so good & it seems to keep the awful depression away.I hope everyone is doing well & I'm wishing everyone a good weekend.

So Diamond did you end up flling those bags with sand? I know what it's like because I've also done that - had they not resisted my house would have been below water level in minutes...Well over here it's so hot------ elders an newborns/little children were advised not to go /be taken out. Yesterday it reached up to 42 celsius (that shoul be in the 110s F) and the humidity level is just crazy. Good thing I'm only 20 minutes away from the Thyrrenean sea, I don't know exactly where Minnesnowduh is but must be a nice place lol...completely off turistic tracks :-)

Great idea @Diamond22. I just dropped my son off for the last day of school...his last day of elementary school. He's moving on up to the middle school. It's a tough day for me. We live two blocks from school and it has been the most loving environment for the last 6 years. I have never experienced a public school with so much focus on more than academics. a full orchestra (mine was violin), band, organic greenhouse where each grade was resposible for growing food for the cafeteria, writer's workshops with famous authors attending (my son's favorite was the fly guy!). Sailing trips down the Hudson to learn the eosytem and conservation. I could go on and on, and I guess I have. Thanks for a place for me to brag and grieve.

I advised my boy to never grow up and seeing that he has, I guess I will have to deal with it. It is a proud, sad, excited day in our family. He is ready for middle school. I'm just not sure Mommy is!

Excellent idea @Diamond22. Where's @temp? She would like it here. And @katie58, she's new too. Feel free to invite more folks; as Diamond said everyone is welcome.

OMG, now I am trying to come up w/party talk. hmmm..... K,

Has anyone read Shades of Grey? Can someone summarize it w/out being too graphic or spoiling it.

Also I am thinking of buying an e-reader. I am leaning towards a Kindle, as Amazon has so many choices in regards to books.

Off to make some tapas for us, so we have some munchies. @barkingmad, great minds think alike. (I am a slow poster. By the time I post my post 3 others or more have posted too!)

I think a nice, fun place just to socialize and have a nice conversation sounds very relaxing. Great idea diamond.

    You play violin?
Took me years to learn vibrato on electric guitar
which is more of an up down motion but violin is a horizontal
motion besides there are no fret markers on a violin which makes
it more difficult to know which key you're in A-G.
    Good for you!

Shades = 3 book trilogy that all kink aside is a through and through love story. My wife read the trilogy and loved it. She started lending it out to co-workers who loved it. Finally got the first book back in the house last night and I started reading it. Got through 3 chapters last night. Basic story building with obvious implications of story line. I find the writing style to be a bit simplistic and I really am not a snob on these things.

E-reader = Kindle. Just a question of which one. Get a cheap $70 B&W Kindle with basic wifi or get a Kindle Fire. If you don't have a tablet you will not believe how useful they are. If you have a droid or iphone and enjoy it, then you will find a tablet simply awesome. The Kindle Fire is cheap, performs decently, is built for reading (versus some of the other higher end tablets) and integrates well with the worlds biggest book store.
