Vent here if you've had a bad day

Today just sucked from start to finish. Usually, I try to look on the bright side of things but this day just wouldn't cooperate. From the start when I got hung up in a bottlenck of traffic for 20 min, the end of which was not even in sight, to the last when I drove back here and some ugly old ******* yelled at me for using the wrong entrnace. WTF! How is it wrong except he's exiting while I'm entering. There are no sign or arrows. I felt like getting out and slugging him, I really did. Scrawny little POS trying to make me feel bad for his mistake. Jesus. And everything in between sucked too, but I'm not going into details cuz it will just bore everybody. One thing I will relate. I got id carded when buying ciagarettes. C'mon people. Please, huh. You just waste my time when I'm so obviously over 16. I could hit these people. I'm in an awfully agressive mood today. I'd better go work out or something. Later.

Next thing you know, people will opening threads to discuss prescription medications, chronic pain, shipping issue! Where do we draw the line?

@poppy13 Sooo relate. Teenagers are so moody. One day it's all cool, then when I go to his room just to talk "I get the whole, GET OUT" thing. Really hurts. Dam hormones.

He and I finally had a good talk last night, as he has struggled since we have moved, and feels like a loser. If you ever met him, you would say "What a great looking and smart kid" But, he does not believe me because I am his Mom, and he thinks I am just saying that to be nice.

But, he has put daggers into my heart in the past. Screw his inexperienced "friends" and their option about how "abusive" you are, what the heck do they know about anything in life. You love your son and I am sure you had your reasons.

Well I spent 2 hours at Kinko's/Fedex copying my tax returns for an upcoming audit.
Talk about boring..But those new Canon copiers are wonderful.
Easy to operate and print nicely.

Sorry about the teenager problem.
I had a son-in-law who from 11 to 18yrs watched cartoons in bed till noon!
I told him he better get a job and I went outside to the cable box and unhooked the coax to his T.V.
which helped..( @brienzi can relate to this) then
he spent 4 yrs at UC Santa Cruz.
Now he's 35yrs and is finding out how tough life can be.
Now he helps me and his natural mom (Mrs Ro)
Fixes car..Lends us money etc.

It's a fine line.
If you're too tough on a teen they'll run away but if too lenient
they will walk all over you. Finding a middle ground might work best.

I spent yrs 11-18 in a boarding school so my parents never
had to deal with it. Frankly, I don't blame them.

i had to take his phone because he was sneaking people in the house with drugs and i have 4 small children in the house besides him.he was posting on facebook all kinds of stuff about drugs with his freaking name and our address on it!i told him a cell phone and computer isnt a right its a priviledge.god im so abusive arent i?lol. the problem with the kids now is they are spoiled freaking brats.they get whatever the want with a click of a finger and dont have to work for anything anymore.they think the world owes them,and what im trying to make clear is the world doesnt owe you shit,and pretty soon when youre in jail and none of your supposed friends have come to visit,ill be there....still

I know most of you will think this is harsh, but when I caught my son smoking pot, he was grounded from friends for 6 months, no phone, no computer, just netflix. He could run,exercise. etc, anything positive. I UA him too. I just know how you must make an impact for them to make real change in their lives. And follow through. You are raising a man, not a child. I know how hard it is.

This entire week is blowing massive chunks. I had to fly to LA from the east coast on Monday with a layover in Denver. I was delayed 90 minutes leaving and missed my connection. I was rebooked and that plane was delayed by two hours. I arrived in LA after 1am. I then had to get up at 7am to go lecture. I flew back - thankfully without incident but it was a very long day.

I have surgery tomorrow to remove all of the hardware in my ankle. I know this isn't a big procedure but I just do not want to be in that post-surgical pain state for too long. I'm just so over this entire thing.

My children, whom I love intensely, are driving me insane tonight. I am totally going to throw a "mommy dearest" moment in two shakes of a snake's hip.

I just had yet another job interview for a housekeeping job ($8.50/hr). I was more than qualified, have a background working with senior citizens and medical care, etc. etc. And I'm pretty sure I can push a broom. The interviewer was more than nice, showed me around, were I would get my uniform, blah, blah, blah, Now I'm assuming I have the job since this is the second time they interviewed me. Nope, wrong assumption. She said she needed to see more applicants and will tell me if I had the position. My thought: THIS IS A HOUSEKEEPING JOB. YOUR'E NOT VETTING FOR THE SUPREME COURT!!!

Sometimes I think this is just a power-play, then sometimes I think these people are just plain stupid.

This past week my sleep schedule has been so out of wack. I've been going to sleep around 6am and waking up around 2pm. Not good. I try to go to sleep but just can't because my mind is constantly racing. When I wake up in the morning I feel really out of it, angry, groggy, my back aches and cracks and pops. It's making me have no motivation for anything. I hope this ends soon.
