My girls have weekend off..and I have two dates!

How lucky can a woman get? My girls get the weekend off. They left about 2 hours ago to stay with friends for the weekend.

So who is my dates? That is right two Seperate dates.

Tonight's date: well he is a VERY handsome blonde with a mohawk, blue eyes, nice summer tan, with a couple of two front missing teeth oh and yes he is 7 years old. My son is spending the night with mom and taking such good care of me. He made me s'mores, drank hot choc with me (yes even in this heat) and we having movie night. Our movie is batman for tonight. Then cuddle time and bed. Tomorrow he stays with me all day and even said he would fix me breakfast.....I get strawberry pop tarts....

And then tomorrow night after he leaves? My friend is coming over for movie night and as I put it to babysit me. Of course he is going to stay over (on the couch....TRUST ME ON THAT ONE....but he asked to come spend time with me and seeing as I wanted to give the girls a break I said yes. He is bring dinner, and some chick flicks.


So how lucky am I? Yes my mom even told me he was just so gaga over me he was willing to do anything to spend time me. Made me blush.

Such a great weekend ahead. And so blessed to spend some mommy and son time. . He is rubbing my half of head of hair as we speak and massaging my arm I have a feeling he will be upset when time to head to mawmaw's tomorrow afternoon.

Amen! He is actually snoring in my ear at moment. He is my only boy so yes I do cherish his sweet moments for sure! He is a tough guy that has a big heart. At age 6 he was setting up a program to get folks to write get well cards to cancer patients (no joke) because of the girl at our park that was a cheerleader that fought cancer. He just felt she needed some home read cheer leading herself to fight. Now that is one smart Kid! Actually reads and tested on a 5 grade level while in first grade. I told him he would make me so proud one day ....well he does everyday but I meant he will go far in life if he keeps his attitude.


I don't like having a babysitter at times but at least my friend doesn't care that I have this giant C scar around my ear and half a head of hair. But we have known each other for a long time too....I am grateful he gave my girls a break as they deserve some kid time too. It is summer break and here a 14 yr old turned into mom.

I just got my pop tarts as promised and now we going to play some games on the iPad. Then he asked me to watch superman with him and I don't wanna but I will give in. Then grandma comes by around 3-330 today pick little man up. Then my friend comes by around 5-6 tonight.


My daughter called me around 8 am. She had NOT even been to sleep yet. Her and her friends stayed up all night long. I am sure talking about boys lol so I am sure I see sleeping and sunburn in her future today when they head out to the pool. Lordy I hope not but last time she got cooked because she was super tired and feel asleep while laying by pool

@UGAgal, it's simply wonderful to see you back making your lively concise posts. I think I can say that you gave all your friends here quite a scare. Enjoy your time with your "men", particularly the one with the "hockey player grin". I'm in the process of moving my son into his first apartment. It's a roller-coaster flood of emotions. Proud, sad, memories of trips together etc. Not to mention how jealous I am of his new apartment overlooking the ocean! Savor the moments!

Can y'all see pic attached? That is my walker and my 5 yr old when I got home today.

My weekend was good. My son stayed both days. My other friend brought us dinner, played wii with my son, then after he went to bed, he asked me if we could start watching a series on Netflix that he and I had Not seen yet feom beginning and we could make it a weekly thing. Keep in mind I have known him way before I ever got married or with kids. We have always had attraction but never a good time for one or other to be together and now we are both single.

His comment of weekly watching of a Netflix series made me nervous as I am afraid he will see me as a babysitting and grow tired of me. But I did say yes and we started watching Breaking Bad. It is nit something I would normally watch but we watched 2 episodes and I did get into it.

Then I woke him up as I was throwing up in toilet with a migraine. He left Sunday around 1pm when my mom and sis came over. I have been stuck in bed with migraine until I went to doc and ER today. May have to start shots for Migranes but will find out tomorrow.

Anyways I hope you can see pic. I have one of son too I need to post but I need a nap. My head is dizzy from meds. Thanks for all well wishes. Was nice to have some adult company Saturday.

Well, it seems to me that this man has cared for you for a long time. If the shoe were on the other foot would you feel that way about him? The babysitting thing? He must KNOW you and be thankful that finally you and he perhaps have a shot at something that has been impossible for you both in the past. You will get better. He would not be there, trying to make you commit to a weekly gig if he really did not want to at least try this thing the 2 of you have been obviously thinking about for a long time. K? Just my thoughts. Don't doom it before it can even start. You are still YOU.

@UGAgal Your 5 yr old is a living doll!!! From the face you can tell she’s just LOADED with personality!

My daughter turned 6 this Sunday. She’s big into makeup and clothes too. And competitive roller skating. We had her bday with 9 classmates at the local skating ring this w/e. She put on her skates and started racing way ahead of her party guests. I had to pull her aside to explain that the other kids didn’t come to admire how good and fast she can skates…they came to skate WITH her.

I’ve been offline on a travel assignment. When I logged on here first thing I looked for was word of your recovery. (Enjoyed the UGA bounce back thread!) It’s so good to hear that you're healing well and expected to recover to 100%. You're very strong.

Good that you went to the ER to get checked out during the migraine. I guess the local neuro doc you saw gave you some idea as to what's causing the migraines & about how long you would have them. I don’t remember you saying you had migraines before this emergency surgery. Maybe when the swelling is fully resolved the migraines will go too. Recovery from neurosurgery can progresses fast once edema around the nerves resolves.

Cool walker. It sounded like they went in around the middle ear so I can see why they’d want you to use a walker for balance for a bit. The facial nerve is in that area too so maybe temporary swelling in that area is causing the facial droop. What an ordeal. But you did everything exactly right every step of the way!

In any event, it’s absolutely wonderful to know the doc said you would probably heal to 100%. (Hope this post makes sense...I don't write well & am too tired to check grammar & spelling.)

Just rest & heal girlie. Nite.
