@no name Are you still is the "can"? I just spent the last couple weeks visiting my mom in the hospital and to her it seemed like eternity. Hope all the tests turned out good and you are home or on your way!

Am I the only person who's Local hospital has very decent food! Hope you feel better @no name... I still remember the breakfast burritos we ate while in hospital when my daughter was born- she could order as much food as she wanted, but husbands werent allowed to order for their own food... But nurses were so cool wife just ordered 2 of everything... No one said nothin. First thing Ive been able to think of that makes me want to have another kid since the last one was born lol.
Hope my random story cheers you up no namedream about those breakfast burritos...

@no pizza Our general hospital has great food and a very nice dining room, not just a cafeteria but when my mom was in a rehabilitation hospital, their food was awlful and the coffee tasted like rebrewed grinds. So there are hospitals with good food. My friend happens to be the dietary manager at the good food hospital and she does the meal planning and really puts thought in it and since its not a public hospital, she has a bigger budget for food sources.

@NONAME Welcome back after having five days in the hospital.I hope you are feeling better. It's good that the food was good there since it's so important to eat properly when recovering.

Thanks Guys and gals,
The best one was my first night home, 4am im on the couch, lights are on im up, my wife comes in and says what in the hell are you doing? I said the nurse comes at 4 am to check my blood pressure, then the lab comes to draw blood ,then its time for medicine, she looked at me and said DO you know where you are? guess i kind of got used to the routine HEHE
I have a great hospital, food was really good , had a menu and ordered just like room service, and yes the breakfast burritos were wonderful
have more testing to do , and have an invasive procedure also

Hi everyone,
just got home from another 6 days, this time i actually left before they wanted me to come home maybe 1 day early,i had another TIA except this time they put me on a heparin drip, I'm not allergic to it but when my dose was increased it felt like id been run over by a car, also my pain meds seemed useless, 3 days no sleep too sick to eat ,i said ihave had enough send me home,my scans were all good no permanent damage. I cant win the lottery but i can have some rare lupus clotting factor.. I'm usually a glass half full person but i guess Ive hit the wall with 20 hospital days in the last 60 I'm worn out , but wait it gets better.. i now have to give myself lovenox shots every 12hrs and take warfarin and get my blood checked every 48 hrs, i have to be careful i had an ingrown hair on my neck i scratched and i guess i didn't feel the big bloody mess my shirt was turning into
when i go back and read this i sound like a crybaby... I'm grateful to be alive
life has just gotten the better of me for a few days but not for long

Anybody ever have a problem with anticoagulants? I'm on 2 of them right now and it feels like kryptonite, my pain meds feel useless since i started this regimen,i finally got one of my Md's to say that these medications put your liver into overdrive but no one else will attribute this to the anticoag medicines, extreme fatigue, no appetite just want to sleep, never mind getting tested every other day , I'm ready to drop this type of treatment cause of feeling so bad only felt this way after the second day its been almost 2 weeks
