I am home....and ok

Y'all make me cry. Thank you. I have no one but PR and I am sorry it took me so long to get on but I was just out of it. Still kind of am.

@UGAgal I haven't been on the board the last few weeks and when I did log on

I found out that betsky had passed away and it made me very sad.

Then I heard about you and you had just got out of surgery. I was so upset. Just like I would be if it was a family member.

I am so happy for you and your family and me, that you are going to be ok.

Do you realize how many friends and how much you are loved on PR?

You can tell by all the well wishes you have received. Even new members that don't know you very well were concerned.

It takes a very special person to have so many people care about someone that they have never met. It says a lot about your character and sincerity and true feelings for other people.

Also it doesn't hurt that you are so damn cute! Even I bet with half a shaved head!

Keep up with your sense of humor and you will be bouncing back in no time.

Remember you have dozens of PR family who are behind you and sending well wishes your way

Awwwww thank you all. I am ok. I got a special walker today that has me depressed. I must use it to walk with and I have to lay my arms in the arm rest and hold these handles with my hands to "push". I will post a pic later today. I cried really hard when they showed up with a walker. I am 36. I was told by therapist it was only so I don't fall and lose balance right now while rehabbing and gaining strength.


It is ok about finding out about betsky the way I did. I cried last night for her but I know she is at peace and I know she had a rough time at times and I will miss her post. But I feel she is looking down and smiling on us all.

I will pm my info to a couple peeps. I honestly love PR and this is my home.
@drboris thank you for letting my brother post an update and for moving it. He can't work a cell phone so I was surprised he got one update on here.

I just want to say I love you all and I have missed our chats. I am slowly staying awake more so I will try to catch up when I can. Nurse said to try each day to stay up longer to build strength and help get back some motor skills.

I appreciate all your kind words, pm's, and prayers or thoughts. It has been hard. 2012 has sucked for me but I know I am headed in an upward motion for the rest of 2012. My daughter has been such a big help and I know she worries and she shouldn't have to go through that as a teenager but like she told me today "mom we roll with the punches and we come out stronger and proud we won the battle". Made me proud that she is being more mature than me at moment.


Again thank you from the bottom of my heart. .

I will have that walker pic up soon......I hate it already but I am going to do what I am told. Even if I look like I am 80 right now with a wicked half Mohawk bird hair.

Your daughter sounds like good people to me and wise beyond her years! I am sure she is grateful that you are here with her. Maybe you can bedazzle the walker and jazz it up a bit! I am sure @H20shed65 will lend you his.

I am so happy to hear everything went well & you are on the mend & that you stopped in to let your PR family know you are doing good. I believe it is b/c of all the prayers that were sent your way, God is good.

Take it easy for now & let yourself heal, I'm sure you are very weak & tired & need the rest. Post when you are feeling up to it.

@UGAgal, I know the walker would be upsetting, but with your strength and attitude I cannot imagine that this is just temporary!! Focus on your strengths and you will great in no time! I have much faith in you after all you've been through!! Keep that positive mental attitude, I think that it's more than half the battle!!

PS your daughter sounds AWESOME!! Hmmmm wonder where she gets THAT attitude???!!!!! Hang in there, we are all here for you!! You are one tough gal!
