Hi there! Let me just clarify one thing. Muscle relaxants are different from analgesics. Muscle relaxants act as "stress-relievers" of the muscles usually after trauma or a tiring activity while analgesics work on the sensation of pain. I have experience taking muscle relaxants with cox2 meds for my lower back pain. OTC or over the counter muscle relaxants include (but are not limited to, depending on the location) Robaxin, Robaxacet and Robaxisal.
