Will Skelaxin (Metaxalone) show up on a urine drug test for benzodiazepines
A good friend of mine who has had a problem with painkillers which is an opiate, gets drug tested all the time. We both got in a car accident last week and the hospital prescribed us Skelaxin and some weak painkiller called naprosyn that is non-narcotic. When he took a drug test a few days after the accident, for some reason he failed for benzodiazepines. I know him good, benzos are not his thing, and if he messed up he would admit to it, and swears he has never touched xanax or any other benzos, he has no reason to lie to me, just did the skelaxin the doctor prescribed. Our Probation Officer sent him to jail for the weekend saying that Skelaxin would not make it show up for benzos, but thats the only possible thing.... Is there anything that could show for a false positive for benzodiazepines? Thanks a lot guys.
