Well I was going on TPB to check something out today and well it's gone, then BTJ and well that was gone too. I googled it and all this crap about another bill post PIPA and SOPA, which effects all countries our government is claiming juristiction over the entire internet. Everyone feel free to vent here and if crap like this goes down then you can say goodbye to sites like this down the road and our freedom to spread information to each other.

Information in the possession of an element of the intelligence community directly pertaining to a vulnerability of, or threat to, a system or network of a government or private entity, including information pertaining to the protection of a system or network from either ‘efforts to degrade, disrupt, or destroy such system or network’; or ‘theft or misappropriation of private or government information, intellectual property, or personally identifiable information [3].

I was just saying that's how I came across this bill, I never heard anything about it, it almost seems like they were trying to sneak it under the radar. With all these websites down they will have a lot less resistance and less people will know about it. MU is down from seizure, BTJ went down on their own never said why, and I've seen TPB is down for several difference reasons, but the truth is unknown the owner of the site however is in jail so who know's who's been running it. What do you think of the bill though?

Yea SOPA and PIPA got shelved few months ago so it's stalled now, the one to worry about now is CISPA it's naughty.

OMG! @smokinjoe Why did I so not figure you as a PBS viewer?? I had to click on the link to NOVA you so kindly provided the OP of this thread and even then, I couldn't believe my eyes when PBS popped up! I just kind of figured you as a good old country boy, world weary traveler, staunch Republican, etc. not one of those Liberal Elite, MSNBC viewing, NPR listening left wing pinko commies....like ME! Just goes to show you how little I know! LOL.

@H20shed65 , this man's book has many pages, go figure i was in a intelligence section of 10 embassys in european theater. i will keep this short as some might accuse me of bragging. lots of miles....lots. I know a lot of things i still wont talk of because they scared the hell out of me with papers i had to sign before going in. Know this my friend as stated in other posts I had it beat into my ass that whomever is potus he is my leader.the word commander in cheif has value to me because i am an American.
