Is anyone out there taking Inderal (propanolol) for mitral valve prolapse
I have taken Inderal for 28 years for MVP. The first 6 months were
rough--I slept 14 hours a day. Does taking the Inderal cause any lung
problems?

No, no known lung problems are associated with propanolol, though b-blockers are known to exacerbate asthma.

I'll bite. Why would you take a medication that made you sleep for 14 hours a day? MVP by itself almost never requires any medication. Palpations are annoying but are completely harmless. Therefore, I suspect, if you don't like the medication, you will do fine without it. Talk it over with your physician.
