First, I'm quite puzzled why your doctor gave you the task of deciding which medicine to take. The doctor should be the one to do that, based on clinical trials, reading drug literature & past experience with patients. In my opinion, you should seek another doctor.
To answer you question, the 2 drugs presented to you are the first line of choice of treatment for essential hypertension. You see, not all patients respond the same way to a particular drug. Ideally, one drug should be tried first then if in a week or so there's no improvement, then the other drug should be tried.
Some studies say that more significant decrease in frequency in tremors are associated with primidone (Mysoline). Of course, I have to reiterate again that it is not always true in some patients.
There are other factors in deciding which drug to take. If you have underlying hypotension or other heart ailments in which you are already taking medicines for, then Inderal should be counted out. Also if you are asthmatic, you shouldn't take this drug.
Another consideration is the price, especially if you don't have insurance or it doesn't cover the drugs you need. If you are to take inderal, you need 40mg twice a day and a pill costs around a dollar (USD) or less. As for mysoline, you need an initial dose of 50mg or 250mg per day, so that's around $1.23 for the 50mg or $5.29 respectively.
