My kittens are being treated with atropine, but we ran out of drops. I have an ophthalmologist friend who can give me some of the same exact concentration, but it expired in 2008.
Is this dangerous to use? Or may it just be less effective?
Part of the problem is that I'm not certain that he realized that it was expired. I can't get a hold of him at the moment because he is out of the country, otherwise I would obviously ask him.
If your ophthalmologist friend gave it to you, I would assume it would be OK, but maybe a slight chance that it might not be as potent. If it had expired in 2006, then I might have more questions.
