I'm on Warfarin...would taking iron supplements affect me adversely?
Stella...I AM going to ask... I just wondered if anyone here had first-hand experience of the drug.

Why on earth would you ask something so serious on Yahoo. Warfarin is a full-on med and you must have something fairly serious wrong with your circulatory system or you would not be on it. So got to the doctor who gave it to you and ASK> If you don't trust that doctor GO TO A DIFFERENT DOCTOR.

What you should not under any circumstances do is trust ANYTHING anyone here says no matter WHAT they say they do or a living! The wrong advice here however well meant it may be could KILL YOU.

Just a friendly suggestion.

I agree with Stella. Warfarin is a very dangerous drug, and even eating a spoonful of cabbage can affect the way it works. Do not take anything without asking your phlebotomist. Even GPs do not always know the full implications.

I was on the blood thinner for a pregnancy and they would only give me iron tablets after I stopp taking the warfarin.
