my mom is on the 50 mg and she wants to get off of it slowly to take another medication.( i don't know the name of it). and she wants to know how to get off of it safely and what are the withdrawal effects??
My husband was just prescribed this and its awful. You cant stop cold turkey, you have to wean yourself. The best way to do this is to call the doctor. If she didnt have any of the side effects of the drug then she shouldnt have withdrawal effects. All it does is slow your heart rate down so if shes off of it and has a past with rapid heart rates then her heart rate might speed back up.
Either way she needs to call the doctor or even a pharmacist to see what they suggest.
