Default Can I take Imovane (Zopiclone) and Ativan (Lorazepam) together

I'm not worried about sedative effects, more worried about an interaction of somesort, an allergic reaction or something similar....

I've taken both before just not at the same time.......

I take some other pain medications but i've taken them with these drugs before.

Can I take ATIVAN and ZOPICLONE together?

Seeing how Ativan is classified as a benzodiazepine, and benzodiazepines and sedatives are known to cause negative effects when mixed together, I would not recommend your doing so. Such combination carries the risk of respiratory and cardiovascular failure. Some of the negative effects of combining the two may include: drowsiness and muscular uncoordination with slurring of speech; deep sleep from which a person cannot be roused; loss of reflexes such as eye blink, gag and withdrawal from a painful stimulus and lastly, suppressed breathing. Hope this helped!
