What is better protection COD or CC

What is a better way to protect yourself in respect to having some recourse in the event you are ripped off. Do the credit card companies just get the funds back if you are unsatisfied and credit your account back if you dispute the charge? If so how can you be sure the correct amount will be debited and the card number not be mis used. COD a better way to go? Can you inspect the package if it is sent COD? Not sure if that protects you in the event the products are fake. I can attest I received some samples last week that I would have bet were good by looking at them that were all totally fake.

So best to order CC? or COD.

I'm not so sure one is any better than the other in regard to receiving fake pills. I don't know if the CC company will do a charge back if you are not satisfied with pill you buy off the internet.

The CC company will probably do a charge back if you don't receive anything. Just think about who you are giving you CC info to. You may want to get a green dot visa or something that.

Yes, I have no problem excusing myself a bit out of view from the mailman. I have a table near the door I would place it on the table without and give it an inspection. Problem is if the tabs are fake I cant really take one and have him wait an hour and a half to see if they work, or can I?

I feel the CC is far better by having the power of disputes.

With a COD, if you do receive a bogus pill your out the money...period. At least with a CC you have the opportunity to dispute the charge. I'd be surprised if a dispute was denied due to a bogus product or a product received not as advertised.

As for CC number risk? Yeah, that's there but I think the CC company's are very good with noticing odd charges to your card. Sometimes I'm the one making odd charges and the security block activates at really inconvenient times. But as much of pain as it is to reactivate my card, I don't mind one bit

if I had my druthers, CC every time.

I noticed you found it but for next time you can either click on your username and there will be a sort of drop down list and you'll see where it says "Find all posts by MoBigsley". Click on that and you'll see a list of all your posts. Or click on your username in the upper right corner of the screen next to where it says "Welcome," and then on "Statistics" and you'll see it also says "Find all posts by MoBigsley" there too. Either way will help you find your own posts and threads started.

I would use a cc over cod. Once you pay for the cod it's your problem. The mailman will NOT let you open the package for inspection. At least with a credit card you have some form of recourse.

i used to prefer COD cause that way in case the order didnt show up or if it was confiscated there wouldnt be a problem. now with all the trouble people are having with fake pills i would have to say credit card...its a shame things have gone in the direction

Both have advantages. With COD you know you've gotten it, but doesn't mean they are legit. With CC you have recourse when not receiving package. For me, CC is much more convenient.

What exactly is a green dot visa? Prepaid visas typically only seem to work inside the 48 states and not ******** or in territories.

Its exactly a prepaid visa credit card, it's the same company as Money Pak. I wasn't aware that prepaid cards were limited to the lower 48, I Learn something new everyday.

I glanced at the web site and it said the card can be used anywhere visa debit cards are accepted, that may be US only for all I know.

I thought I used one several years ago for an IOP purchase, but that was a while back, I'm not sure.

I have yet to find any that work anywhere outisde the 48 states (they are rejected upon trying to use for any transaction outside the 48 states). I found this out the hard way after putting a decent amount of money on one simply so I'd be able to pay with visa (although I was really only out the $5 it cost to put money on the card).

I seems many wouldn't be concerned about using their regular card anyway, it may be just fine to do that. Even if you could use a prepaid, maybe it's not necessary to go to the extra trouble. I'm probably overly cautious.

I think using a credit card has the advantage over all payment methods. One drawback is a paper trail, but the clearing service will not allow theft for long, and they do verify the merchant as one that delivers. Not true of pre-pay cards as the funds go directly to the receivers account, which they can change anytime.
The only payment system that is better than a CC account is the way Biotran does things. You pay after you are satisfied with the product. Satisfaction with any of the other business SOP is the subject of a very long thread.

I've accidentally stopped filling the gas tank before, and when trying to start it again, been denied. CC companies are definitely much wiser in terms of noticing odd activity. Sucks having to drive to another station to finish filling up my car but at least you know the company is looking out for you (and to avoid their own hassle of having to fix any bogus charges).

I say CC. I got ripped off using a pre-paid card (not for OP usage), and there was no recourse available for me.

I haven't used COD for a long time ( for any kind of purchase)

Rip the package open in front of the mailman while your spouse retrieves the check! Simple, I've done it before. I've always gotten what I ordered but if I didn't my hubbs and I planned that we would say we lost the check tape the package and hand it back to the mailman. Oops!

I would opt for COD,you won't loose your money that way when there is no packet shipped to you.with credit card you always have a risk of whether the pharmacy will ever ship you product ordered.
