    Default Another Moneygram question:

    For the last four weeks, I have been buying MoneyGrams at Walmart. The vendor that I was then using would send me the info....the Receiver's name, city, state, and country. I would write all of this info down and go to the service desk ready to buy my Moneygram. Yhe service desk clerk would ask: "Do you want the 'ten minute service' and I said yes, sounds great to me'. And then she would fill out the blanks on the form but she NEVER asked me what city, state, and country that the reciever is from, even though my vendor was always including it in the 'payment info' that he would send me. And the transaction always went through without a problem. The vendor at that time was 'savers rx'.
    Yesterday, I tried a new vendor. A very popular one that gets daily good reveiws but is about $20 higher on their products. He sent me payment info. I went to Walmart and purchased a Moneygram using the same Ten Minute service that I always use. Of course, like I said earlier, the wal mart clerk never asks for reciever's city, state, and country. So I go back home, new moneygram reference number in hand and promptly mail the info to new vendor. He emailed me last night stating that this reference number 'was not available'. I re-sent him the info. With the same ref. number of course. And they still had no luck. I called Moneygram and they said that this reference number is good, and that their is no problem. The Moneygram dude said this: But I see that you used the 'ten minute service' and that means that the receiver CANNOT receive their money from a Bancomer or Telecomn place. But that the reciever can receive their money any other Moneygram agent in the country of XXXXXX.
    So when you go into Wal Mart, with info in hand, WHICH MoneyGram service do you use?????? The ten minute service is obviously not working with my new vendor for some reason. Thanks for any help. This Moneygram stuff is a regular pain in the hind end.

    I've used this vendor, I use 10 min. But when I fill out the form I fill in the Country & state. Do you not fill out a form? They have to know where to send it. If you fill in country & state they can pick it up in any city in that state. I never had an issue. But I have not used this vendor in about a month.

    The Vendor is PharmasupplyNow. I hope I didn't break a rule by saying that. The wal mart clerk fills out the form. She said with ten minute service, it can be picked up anywhere in the country of Mexico at any moneygram agent except Bancomer and Telecomm.

    @ TennTom.....Yes, I use PSN. I alwys fill out the form and fill in Country & state. But I also use 10 min. So far I have not had an issue. Try emailing Tony and asking if not having the state on there matters? He'll tell yoou. He's easy to talk to.

    Thanks MayreeAngel. I have always used the ten minute service myself. The Walmart clerk says that it is pointless to include the city and state in Mexico when using the ten minute service because the receiver can pick up funds anywhere in Mexico that has a Moneygram agent except for a Telecomm or Bancomer. She tells me this when she is entering the info on the form that I fill out into her computer. I guess that I can tell her to enter the city and state anyway. I never had to do it for Savers rx but I'll do whatever is necessary.

    Interesting, I just used MG for a vendor down south that is in the Senior section. I sent the MG on Monday in the morning before the shipping cut-off, used the 10 minute option as well. Haven't heard back from them since I sent the ref #. I fear I am either being scammed or may be running into a similar situation. Then again, I have heard never receiving a TN is a common experience with vendors like these.
