WU/MG and ID? Prepaid cards online?

I was asked for ID at a small store with a WU station. It was before I really said much of anything or filled anything out, but it caught me off guard.

Has anyone else experienced this, is it some sort of new policy? It's never happened to me before.

Is there any way to send a WU/MG online with prepaid credit cards anonymously?

I have been asked for ID when sending via credit card in person at WU. They do this to make sure you are not using a stolen credit card, thats all. You do need an account to send WU or MG online. Signing up with fake information is most likely against their TOS and on your first transfer you will probably need to call to verify the information and the transfer probably won't go through. That is my experience and thoughts.
