    Default WU transfer on hold? happen to anyone

    Anyone have any experiences with "hold on" transfers? I used WU today as the only MG location in my city has ONE person working and she is pretty nosy these days. When I checked the number on-line it shows "on hold" please contact consumer service. I did the on-line chat. They directed me to an 800 number (which I tried to avoid as I can't usually understand them!) but...

    So spoke with an agent who said "I went ahead and noted the transfer is fine for pick up. The receiver will need to make sure they have their ID with them to pick up"

    Anyone know what that means? Why is it on-hold and then they act like it's really not a big deal?

    Please no lectures about WU! I know, I know! Trying to shake it up a bit.

    if the agent you talked to said it would be released for pick up , then thet should be ok . it should however say so on the web site . holds to this part of the world are a common occurance . im well versed with w.u. online . i have an acount tied to to a credit card and that makes it a little easier. but i also send w.u. online to other places as well.

    Just a little advice on using WU don't use the online site to actually send the money if at all possible. Go to an actual WU location, the person working at the store could care less who or why you're sending the money. When you use the online site you need to talk to a Rep and they ask you security questions off of your credit score, like "did u finance with GMAC" obviously they do all that for card security reasons but its a huge hassle. I used to use WU all the time for online gambling and even ordered some Anabolics when muscle bear was still around and I never had any problem paying in person at store. Also if for some reason your bank card is denied cuz you didn't answer a question right they place a hold on the funds for like 4 or 5 business days. At least that's how it worked when u used to use them. Hope this helps you
