Default Alltop Alprazolam - Show ya mine if you show me yours

I used to worrk at a famous theme park when I was in high school. Every now and again people would show up with 'discount tickets' they had bought offsite which looked nothing like the genuine article. I have wondered if the same basic idea carried over to drugs bought from IOPs. Perhaps instead of generic xanax from India I'm holding the equivalent of Disney tickets with a picture of an Orca and Bugs Bunny on the front. Attached (hopefully) are some views of what I received.

As an aside, has anyone ever wondered why medications not intended for sale outside of India have all the writing in perfect English?

Nice picture, I see the retail price for a strip of 10 is about .50 cents USD.
Now I know why most India IOP's black out the maximum retail price.
( Indian rupee 22.40 for 10 tabs according to the foil- if I'm reading that right)

I could take and post a picture of mine, if you'd like, but it's looks the same and has a different brand name.

Looks like they were made in a basement. Those don't look to appealing to me and I usually love xanax.

@chedda - Viewed with the naked eye, they look fine. I suspect many meds might look a little irregular if they were photographed super macro as this one was. Look at the ruler to get a sense of scaling.

One thing I forgot to add is that these 1mgs appear to be the real deal. I was prescribed .5 mg by my doc for occasonal anxiety - got the generics from Walmart and I used to break those in half. I'd take a half if I felt an anxiety burst coming on and take both halves if I needed to. These 1 mg I do the same thing; only I break them into quarters. I don't have any tolerance built up - benzo's aren't 'my thing'. I have occasional anxiety issues and take them when the breathing and other relaxation things fail. My doc gives me a script for 30 every 6 months. A friend was about to place an order from her regular IOP and I got me a couple of strips of these things and another med that my IOP didn't stock.

They do look horrid but most India pills do, but from experience they are legit. When I first saw them I was like wtf. They are way over sized very chalky taste in the beginning but then the strong bitter xanax taste hits. They are just as good as the pd brand and cheaper.

    @kywildcat,

Agreed on the look and quality of this particular brand of Indian xanax. It's been my experience that pills from Indian manufacturers are like some celebrities I've seen in person .. they look better from a distance. When you get up close you see all the imperfections.

@Bungalobill Yes, counterfeit medication is a billion dollar industry worldwide. Many medications that are sold as generics are clandestinely produced using unsanitary conditions. Often these counterfeits go unnoticed as "cheap generics" with lower effectiveness but the truth is that they are being produced illegally by crime syndicates.

There are of course legitimate diversion cases where medications are transferred from someone who received them legally and sold to an IOP for distribution ******** but I believe that the majority of the "generic" IOP market is counterfeits. This is why medications that are supposedly produced for use in India are written in English. They are not produced legitimately for sale in India, these medications were produced clandestinely for sale to rich English speaking westerners. That is not to say that all medications that are produced in non-English speaking countries that contain English on the packaging or medicine are clandestinely manufactured; many drugs are produced for sale in multiple countries and well English is a frequently spoken language worldwide being spoken by roughly 750 million people.

While it is in the best interests of the sites to maintain a positive relationship with their customers and win repeat business it is not uncommon for outright placebos to be sold which contain no active ingredients or do not contain different active ingredients than what they claim to contain. There are literally thousands of reports online of people who have received inactive or the incorrect drugs when ordering from IOPs.

This ultimately is what is wrong with the medical profession in many countries. Fear of abuse by patients and prosecution by law enforcement has forced people with legitimate medical needs to seek assistance from outside the medical community. Essentially the draconian drug laws have made obtaining the medicines we need to live our lives into a barbaric dark alley practice.

@pegcity8, they (xanax) come in 2 mgs and there's also a 3mg XR version in the US. I have a friend that's on the 3mg XR and she thinks they work great for her anxiety (which is constant, all day long). There's 0.25 mg, 0.50 mg, 1.0 mg, 2.0 mgs, and 3.0 mgs XR. There could be a 0.75 mg and a 1.5mg but I've never seen them or heard of them so I'm not going to say yes or no on those two

I've been prescribed 0.25 and 1.0 mg of xanax, and have purchased from IOPs the 2.0 mgs a couple of years ago. Now I'm prescribed klonopin so I stay away from other benzos in case I'm tested at the doc's office.

apparently now in India, the highest dosage that you can find (at least shipped is the 1mg)...and personally Im not a fan of most Indian pharmaceuticals. I always found those white "Valium 10" imprinted pills to be a 2/10 (tops)

I guess one warning I should put out there about the India meds. A few years ago (about 4) I ordered valium. I was tested at my doctor's office and it came back with xanax, restoril, valium, and metabolites for several other benzos. Obviously the pills I bought worked, but they weren't exactly what they said they were and if you have a PM doc that gives you valium and you order valium from an Indian site please be careful. That UA was a nightmare and almost ruined my life. I can no longer believe a company when they say they are sending xanax or whatever benzo because it looks like they just mix some crap together and make nice little labels to put on the blister packs. So ya'll be careful out there.

Alltop is a great brand from India and better then most 1mg xanax in my opinion.
