Adderall, What should I do
PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS
I have recently been taking Adderall illegally by purchasing it from other kids. I know this is wrong but it really puts me where I feel I need to be, I don't get the speed-like effects that people get when they take it without having ADD/ADHD.
When I don't use Adderall I cannot focus at all. I day dream constantly and wake up to a chalk board full of shit that makes no sense, I cannot read at all either. I have to read the same page over again up to three times before I finally understand what has happened. I am failing all of my classes because of this, I inside love to work and love learning, but it is near impossible for me to focus on anything for more than a few minutes, even video games. Adderall really helps me. When I take Adderall I can concentrate on something for as long as I need to. I feel happy about learning and doing school work. This is what I need. This not something I want abuse to become "high" If I could get prescribed to Adderall I am sure I will actually graduate high school, which is very important to me. So my question to you is How do I go about bringing this sort of thing up to my doctor? Should I tell him that I have been taking Adderall and it helps me? Will he think I'm just out to get high? how should I explain my problem to him? I don't want him to run some stupid test and say that I don't have ADD/ADHD, because I know I do.
