    Magnus...I just went through something similar with USPS. It was a nightmare and I swear the people that work there are total idiots. I know they are hard working but I told a lady at the desk that I had a package for pick up and she literally did'nt know what I was talking about! I kid you not. I was soooo frustrated I finally got the supervisor involved who told me my letter was on the truck for delivery!! WTF! Incompetence!! Anyways I chased the package for like 2 days from the post office back to the shipping center (10 miles from my home). I told the supervisor when the mailman comes back with my package to please have it held so I can pick it up!! Easy enough right. Well the guy did bring it back at the end of his day and of course she did'nt have it held. It was finally shipped back to sender....are you kidding me. It was a total joke. I was so mad. Anyways I'm waiting on another one now which is not moving at all on the USPS tracking site. Could be delayed cause of New Years but this has been the worst experience with USPS i have ever had. Wish i could use Fed-Ex everywhere!

    I am in the same sort of problem. My package left a usps sorting facility about 15 miles from my house, but has yet to update since then and that was the 28th. I called the sorting facility and they said since it was express international it should have been delivered that same day. I do not see how it gets lost between 15 miles.

    Hello all. I need some help here. I have a package that was supposedly sent out on Dec 31st via USPS. The USPS tracking site says "electronic shipping info received" and it has said this since the 31st? I know the holiday caused a 2 day closure for USPS. The 1st and 2nd. But today is the 4th and still no movement. I already contacted the shipper (customer service dept) and USPS.....neither one could give a solid answer. The shipper says it WAS sent for sure but USPS cant verify that. They both said they have the same info I have? WTF? Just want to know if i'm getting screwed by this OP or if USPS is indeed lagging on updating there info.

    PS: this is a re-shipment......thats why i'm skeptical

    @jayther2 - most likely still delayed due to holidays. Monday was a holiday, so today is only the 2nd busienss day it has been in the mail. Don't panic yet.

    if it was sent out the 31st that was Sat so you figure it was shipped yesterday you should see some movement tomorrow morning or tonight.

    @costa1107 - Not necessaryily. Remember you are dealing with USPS...not UPS or Fed EX. They are slower and get jammed up during the holidays...they are probably still on holiday hangover.

    No need to panic. Remember that USPS tracking is crap. Sometimes it's good, sometimes there's few scans, sometimes you get nothing at all. And it being shipped Dec 31 might mean that it didn't actually get in the mail till yesterday (USPS was closed Jan 1-2). I imagine that the folks at USPS weren't motivated to do much on New Years Eve (if the shipper even dropped off your item that day). You'll probably see something soon, if you don't actually get the package by then.

    Thanks for the response. I'm hoping that you are right and they are indeed backed up due to holiday. It's now 4PM and no movement. Hopefully it will be in my mailbox when I get home......oh wait i have to sign for it.

    Yeah but this was sent priority mail. Typically it gets here in 2-3 days max. That's why i'm concerned this time.

    london mail is also frozen b4 ever getting to usa. no probs from south africa over xmas, but...at london airport 6 days and counting. only 3rd parcel force order, but thats a long time. and thier tracking is down too. drunkards.

    The USPS's site is not something to be desired. Sometimes I get a package that says that it was just sent out, only to find them at my door with the package already. Then the site updates and says it was delivered.. Fedex is so much better.

    Jayther, I would not worry yet! USPS tracking .... to put it mildly... SUX! And I use to work for them! Most of the time packages coming into the USA form Europe can sit in Customs for 7-10 days(even more if from Middle East & Asia although mail seems to get here from India pretty quick! They don't put much priority on International mail anymore(You can thank Obama for cutting the staff at JFK Jamaica NY for that! He did it 3 years ago and mail service has gotten slower and slower!) Even though the US Postal Svc just did an upgrade to their whole computer tracking system back March 2011, there has been no improvement at all! Although I will tell you that I have heard from my sources inside PO that the info the public has access to on the PO track webpage is quite limiteed compared to what the clerks at the Post Office can see! They get more info on their screens when they punch in track numbers! If you call them they just get pissed when they have to stop and look up stuff cause they know the system sux too! Its best to look up the tele number of your local PO on the internet and call them instead of calling the 800 number! I wouldn't start getting concerned till its been 12-14 days and no movement! I don't know where you ordered from but you can try these sites for International tracking:

    and if it was ordered from India or Asia this place is a good tracker:

    These can sometime tell you more about when it was mailed and where it has been! There is so much mail in the world that most Postal Services are overwhelmed!

    excellent post rocker. this stuff is so aggravating. db board had some customs worker member and such..., i forget thier stories, but they were some horror accounts.

    Thanks for the info Rocker. The only problem is this was shipped from within the US.....thats why it's weird. I would'nt even be close to worrying yet if it was an international parcel. Also, i have called my local PO and your right, they do get mad when you ask them to track for you haha, OH WELL! I called the 800 # today and the girl said they never got the package?? So I then called the shipper who called the pharm and told me it did ship so I dont know what to think at this point. I'm holding off on ripping the site because I dont know for sure what happened. This is really frustrating though because I placed the order in plenty of time (in the past it has always been 2-3 days) before I run out. Now i'm out of my meds

    my uk prob was clarified when custumer contact form was submitted they answered that while the tracking # was correct...parcel force, which was the service linked to the order, was instead being dealt with royal mail this time around. while their tracking also blows, it at least says it has arrived in usa with no updates in between. good news beats the bad news this round. so far. though they seem to be the same mail conglomerate, youd think they both wouldnt accept the same tracking #.

    I still have not got my package from USPS and still no movement on tracking site....WTF? It's been 4 business days and nothing. Someone told me it can take 5 business days but when I used Priority mail in the past it has always been 2-3 days at most. What do you guys think I should do. I'm beginning to think i'm not getting my package. Well if it does'nt come tomorrow I will do a chargeback I guess. This is a re-ship so I don't think they will send it again for free (it was a struggle last time to get them to do it...they were gonna charge me $50 to re-ship!!)

    If it's domestic priority mail, yes it usually gets there within 3 (business) days. But I've had priority packages take 1-2 weeks to arrive. It's not normal but shit happens with the USPS sometimes. Packages get misrouted, end up in the wrong place in the sorting facility, they get a deluge of items during holidays, etc. And again USPS tracking is famously bad (not like UPS or Fedex), it could have gone through a sort facility without being scanned.

    Give it another few days unless there is a reason you need to do it now (nearing deadline for chargeback or something). Sure, there is a small possibility that USPS loses it or shipper doesn't ship it, but there is a good chance they are just running behind.

    Thanks Dayton. Today is the day of reckoning. I called PO this AM and he said it still had'nt been scanned. He said it's a possibility that it's on the truck for delivery but he doubts it. This would be no big deal usually. But i dont have the $$ to order from another site and i'm out of meds........this sucks!!!!
