So for those who received when the tracking still said it was at usps ISC, were they packages you had to sign for?

Only if the items is sent using Registered Mail. If you look on the last column, titled "Features" of the USPS tracking page, it will say "Registered Mail"; also the tracking number will normally begin with an "R", for example RA or RN, the last two letters after the number indicated the country of origin.

The vendor said i would have to sign for mine and it is airsure out of UK, no R in it though, i hate getting those notices to pick it up the next day, it is so frusterating to know it is just a few miles away and have to wait.

Does usps have a way of tracking how often you track a package, it seems silly, if i ordered some expensive electronic equipment i would probably be tracking that often as well.

Yea I just was worried because there hasn't been any other updates since then but I have also heard that sometimes they don't even update it to say it has been shipped out. USPS is no where near fedex or other shippers for shipping tracking. Kind of a let down I always like to get updates on my orders. My order was also very small like 5" by 5" so its not like it was a big order. Usually the bigger orders seem to be the ones that get nabbed buy customs.

Well my order looks very very small. It is a few vials. I don't know if they scan each package or not but I have heard from other people that they had no problems receiving there order but still had the same problem with me not getting updates once it got to customs. I've also heard people tell me there package was stuck there for 11 or more days and then just showing up the next day with no tracking updates.

I HATE TO BE THE GUY WHO COMES ACROSS AS NEGATIVE. BUT lately Pakistan is a big NO NO. Everything is EMS from that country and EMS customs officers don't play around, ESPECIALLY with PAKI orders. Back when I had the balls (or stupidity) to risk ordering from there, If it didn't clear in a day or two max, I'd never get it. And this was very recently. So I'm just telling you from MY experience. I always hope for anyone on here to get what they ordered, but things are different from there now, even as early as up until the 3rd quarter of last year it used to be fairly easy to receive from there. But now this is no longer the case.

It really sucks and I'm sorry to say this but you'll most likely never see the pack. The address it was sent to is now prob. flagged and just call it a lesson learned not to do this again. Some do make it through, but much much more do not.

If you order anyting else that will hit NY EYE CEE ESS Customs be sure to use a new address/name next time.

PS - I've been through all this before and the ONE of the reasons the prices are so cheap from there is because almost nothing ever makes it thru customs anymore if the letter or box is sent from there. SOURCE: Personal experience. The "good days" of last year are long gone.

I've been ordering offshore since Oct. '09. I remember it well, because it was for a very cheap pharmaceutical medication that pulled me out of a plunge into the dark side with alcohol. I just hate it when that happens! Baclofen works a charm for addiction, and I think I made my first order from ADC. They ARE awesome for generic meds that should be "rights" for anyone that understands their own body/mind and knows what they need. Gack. Don't let me get started on the U.S. health care system!

I have 2 letters, sent "non-registered," from Pakistan, that are over 30 days out. These are for products that I buy for my 84 year old mother and 95 year old step-father, whose physicians balk at prescribing pharmaceuticals that improve their quality of life. Fortunately, although my provider's website says "no re-ships for non-registered mail," they are aware of the situation and will make good, with time. And one letter for me, "registered," that has been "inbound into customs" since March 18.

This is the first time in over 2 years of regular, but not frequent, ordering, that there has been any disruption at all. But, as I posted earlier, some things still come through, no ay problema. So go figure.

Hope your letters comes through, j2, and anyone else who is waiting! Do people still get "LL's?" I haven't read of any lately, and I've checked a couple of different boards. If something happens, one way or the other, with my own waaay overdue letters, I'll post it. In the meantime, thanks to all of you who are PR, for being an awesome resource for those of us living in a broken health care system.

I had a scary LL sent to me early this year. Was an EMS pack from India and said they were forwarding it to the Dickwad EE Agency (my letter of sch 4 meds). Said if I didn't respond they were going to begin seizure proceedings. OF COURSE I TORE IT UP AND THREW IT AWAY.

Then one from paki just stuck on "inbount into customs" and never updated after that (after I got LL from India pack, they didnt bother to send a LL for the sch 4 envelope from paki. I've never ordered anything more controlled than a sch 4 before and still can't get anything sent from paki anymore. I had penty of successes until 3rd quarter of last year from there though. Things have def changed on their paki policy now (I call it their paki package radar policy.) It really sucks, because it was nice until it all came to an end.

Thanks twinturbo for telling me about your experience with them. I have heard some people have had packages sit there for weeks or more and then the packages just randomly show up. If I don't receive it by the end of next week I will just accept the loss. Yea they sell stuff really cheap but they make you pay up the ying yang for shipping. I think I paid $60-$70 for shipping where as the vials were $7 a pop. $35 worth of meds $70 for shipping. Crazy. This vendor however has one of those 100% guarantee shipping so maybe that has something to do with it. I don't know what they could do different to get it through if they had to send it again.

My "stuck at ISC" item arrived and an order placed just 9 days ago from another country
also arrived. So I am set. In both cases tracking still said processed through ISC hours
after the mail was delivered. I am never going to pay attention to the USPS tracking again.
They both arrived on the same day and only 90 minutes before I had to leave
for the airport. What a ride that was.

I hope the USPS site is just wrong, when it sits there, I don't like it. Last time mine just sat..lets just say I never got it. Nornmally it always show some sort of progress, the package that is. Never anything from Paki..only uk..however even though they said oyu have to sign for it, I never had to..it ends up in my mail box!! Lets keep fingers crossed. Even though mine is in the US since the 7th...not sure the holidays affected it all, slowed it down or anything.

My package was stuck in NY for 8 days and I had just about given up on it. The postman delivered it and I rechecked the tracking and it still said it was at NY . I did another check 4 days after I got it and finally it says " delivered" with date and time. So for me, I never see anything after it says processed through sort facility, it just shows up.

If yours is showing processed through , and still there after 7 or 8 days, don't give up just yet, it should show up at your door any day now..

I hope you're right. This isn't the first time I have had something sit there for a prolonged period. I had one that was there for 8 days or 9.

I guess I am worried because I had a package arrive that was sent to me a few days earlier, and I had no trouble with it sitting for a long time. So it just seems odd to me that this one is sitting there for a long time.

For now I am ok with what I have, hopefully I can get a reship if things don't pan out.

@plowerhouse .. I know its mind-racking when the USPS is not consistent so, I wanted to add one of my experiencse with their surprise shipping / tracking techniques!

I once had a package..(sounds like the beginning of a dirty limerick doesn't it?).. show up at the NY ISC, get scanned in, then just disappear for 6 weeks!
When I finally received it, you could see where someone sorting packages in NY that day made a simple and completely understandable mistake. They had read a 2 for a 7 and sent the package to Texas by mistake! Now, it showed up in Texas 4 days after it was scanned in NY but(and, this is what is not understandable), it took almost 5 weeks for it to work its way back to my state!
I have since found out that the USPS works hard to get things where they are supposed to go but, once a letter or parcel gets mis-directed, the re-route is low priority! I have had many a package go astray but, I have to admit, the USPS has ultimately always gotten the item to me!
I consider myself lucky because I have heard stories of letters that showed up 30 years later cuz it had fallen behind a desk or had just gotten lost in the system! We take the Mail System that good ol' Ben Franklin started 230+ years ago for granted but, people's lives have been changed because of a letter that never made it to its destination!

The funny thing was is that I ordered from Inhousepharm.biz and they sell no controlled meds at all! Even more frustrating. Dont lose hope until you get the actual LL (not likely)

Just a little update..mine as I have mentioned had been sitting in eye ess cee since the 7th..i logged on just know and checked, and finally seeing some updates! YEAHH!!! Hopefully in a couple of days..or sometime this week..in mailbox!

I think that packs from Pakistan via EMS like they ALL are that dont make it out of customs in 1-3 days are GONE and no amount of "wishing" is going to help. It doesn't matter who started this thread. What mattes is the experience the person answering a particular question has with the situation being asked about. So, like I said.. If it;s from PAkistan and sits in custims more than 3 days, then kiss it bye bye and use your back up plan. No amount of prayer or dance is gonna get it back. Sorry, but it's just true.

I've had packages sit in customs for over two weeks, and these were from a country considered 'hot', so YES it is possible that one might still receive a package that has been sitting in customs for a long time.

This is just my opinion, though... as is the OPINION that one will never receive a package that has been sitting in customs for more than a few days.

I would advise folks reading these threads to realize that opinions are what are being given here, and don't let anyone scare you in to thinking you have NO chance to ever receive your package.

Opinions based on experience are a bit more trustworthy, but not everyone has the same experience. There is no solid YES or NO answer that can be given as to whether someone will receive a package based on the the number of days it has been sitting in customs.

That said, in my OPINION, it is wise to avoid the EMS option for pkgs being shipped from 'hot' places such as Pakistan.

Yes I've given up on a couple things, and sure enough randomly they've shown up. Stuff from UK or any of western europe always seemed to get their in normal time. Anything south or east of that, just a guessing game. Had samples even show up from hotspots, in terrible packaging well over 40 days later.
