Royal mail airsure to usps firstclass international tracking question.

I recently had a package sent using airsure. It left the uk and now the usps tracking is saying that it is a first class international letter and origin is preparing for shipment(something like that). Now on the the usps site it says that first class international letters do not get tracking, but it is showing up on there tracking site. Will it continue to track for me? Or is all that it will say until i get it? Also, does anybody know how long shipments take to get from the UK to new england?

It usually updates for me but last time it didn't update for almost 9 days and on 9th day when I checked that morning it had updated 2 sorting facilities, and out with my carrier for delivery that day. It was very odd because it should have been updating up to 4 days before that.....don't be alarmed if it just sits for 7-10 days with no movement. I've never had one go through customs faster than 7 days sitting time.

I was confused by this too. Not a fan of not being able to track in real time! I guess as long as it shows up though?? Hopefully soon! Thanks!

I've had a letter from India waiting in customs too, yours has been there two days longer though.

@Demona @Meatmarch My experiences are similar to Demona's. My impression is that usps usually tracks the letter all the way, but as usual for usps, this can be unreliable, just as for non-Airsure letters.

For me, the package was tracked all the way, but there was once a lag time between NY and my local PO. It finally scanned right before delivery. But the packages always arrive in a timely fashion, so if you can be patient I'm sure it will arrive. Waiting just sucks
