From my experience,
I always received International Registered within 4-5 business days, but didn't get all packages shipped by International Airsure service.
The thing is that Registered have to be checked by a custom's employee in some countries. That's why most vendors rather not to use Registered mail unless they have some connections in the origin country.
I prefer Registered mail bs I always receive it.
That's just my own experience.
Good Luck Buddy.

thanks for the input! what do you mean by "checked by a custom's employee"? are you saying that registered receives heightened scrutiny or gets checked more thoroughly than regular Airmail? and the possibility of confiscation is higher?
do you or anyone else think that registered signed for may have better 'intent' or better priority if you will? better than Airsure so in the long run would maybe be quicker? any thoughts?

I mean if the registered pass the origin country cutstoms, The receiver will get it faster and it will be taken care of more than regular mail
It depends on the sender, I used to deal with an Inian vedor who got connections in the Indian Post service. He would pay some money and get the package sent doesn't matter what it has in it.
I usually get registered mail quicker than airsure by a day or 2 quicker .But registered mail does not seem to update as well on the tracking as airsure .That is one reason I would rather pay little more for airsure .Not having to go thru the daily agony of not knowing when or if I will get my order .I have one now that was shipped registered mail from the UK that was shipped two days ago and still has not updated with no status at Royal mail or USPS.
I like to use Airsure or airmail never have a problem.
thank you very much for all the replies everyone! you information has given me proper insight. i am glad to say that my registered package cam in tact and in an astounding 8 days from shipment! no too shabby in my exp. that is about average. the fastest in my exp. has been around 5-6 days while the longest has been 11-12 days. so this time was a nice medium. i think i am going with registered from now on if it will be like this for all other mailings *knock on pixels*. i am sure with this confidence it will slow up... but all in all i believe reg is faster than airsure but i suppose i would need more objective evidence to really be positive. plus it is cheaper... i did notice though that registered is placed as priority rather than first class as is airsure. that has me thinking... i think reg has better priority when it comes to handling once entered onto US soil.
thanks again!

I think it is a little bit faster than airsure (which is 1st class int'l once it gets into the USPS). Anyway, since the mailman will usually bring it back to the station which means I cannot get it until the day after anyway that difference of a day or two doesn't really make a difference for me. Id rather it just be left in mailbox even if it takes an extra day. Cheers!

I prefer the Airsure because it doesn't require a signature. A signature can delay delivery if you're not at home when the mail carrier comes. Also it's my impression/suspicion that Customs is more likely to scrutinize a Reg, delaying its progress in the mails. However, judging from comments that Reg packages are faster than Airsure, I'm starting to doubt my impression.
I guess I just don't like to sign for it.
