question. at the bottom of the thread listing there is a members online line. that line is always a bit off. is that because it does not count mods?

You mean the "Currently Active Users" list? What do you mean the "the line is always a bit off?" I'm a mod and I'm counted among the active/online users as of this time.

I think this may be because many members have enabled "Invisible Mode" which "allows you to browse the forums without appearing in the 'Currently Acitve Users' lists."

This is a checkbox setting which you find after logging in by clicking on your username to go to your user profile, then click on the "User CP" to access your User Control Panel, and then click on "edit options" from the Settings & Options section on the left of your screen. The checkbox for invisible mode is at the top "Login & Privacy" section.

what fun is there if people are using invisible. invisible should only be used in cases of stalking people should not just be sucking life from the board they should be contributing

It's very possible that the people that are not shown are on space drugs. Space drugs are the best, and that's one side effect.

Great post. Just to add, I run a few forums with the same software. Some of the missing people are in "invisible mode", not logged in yet, guests with no account, or even google/***** spiders.
