That's strange. When I first entered the restricted area, confetti started streaming out of my computer. Then Hail to the chief started playing over my speakers. I thought that I had arrived at the Magic Kingdom. There is so much more to learn in the restricted area. We actually decide who to ban. Alot of other important decisions are made in this Special forum. Don't let anyone fool you, The seniors forum is totally awesome! But then again, maybe it's not. No porn,but make it what you wish.Let your imagination run wild about what is in the sacred realm of ''secret vendors'',which is very ambiguous to new members.There is not much posting going on in there,and I think there is more information in the open forum.Only good thing is it keeps the good sources from being swarmed by too many buyers,resulting in short supply for everyone.Half orders will be the result of rationing inventory,just to keep from turning customers away.

To all the Senior Dudes & Dudettes--We all kind of understand that we can ferret out most of the information that we need. The problem is telling us that there is something we can't see. Until now I haven't had a problem with having to wait to use the senior forum but now.....Some total ....... started badmouthing me in a thread that was moved to the senior forum before I was able to read the post!!!! I got a notification of mention which included the first few words of his post but was unable to read it even though it is about me. BOO. I really hope whatever he's saying about me someone gets him good for me! Heehee! Private forum is just a few posts away for me, wonder how long it will take him.

Sorry but this site really bothers me. You can't even access certain sections until you have 50 or more posts? Why? It's not that hard to get 50 posts. So why is it so necessary? I just don't get why it's so important for these posts. However, the only thing I like is this so-called "helpful rating" in theory. But at the same time you could have a few friends that do that for you. All in all, what are you trying to hide? Don't you think people will spend the time and post and get "helpful" reviews if they want to? Someone like me who wants to gain information--legit info on sites that may not be so legit--will most likely go elsewhere since it's ridiculous to simply post for the sake of posting.

Am i missing something here? I used to be a avid poster on DB--over 300 or so, but that took me years, because I wasn't interested in posting for numbers, I was posting for questions, concerns, helpful advice. Here, when you attempt to visit threads it says "YOU MUST HAVE 50 POSTS TO ENTER" Why? Who are you trying to protect, or fool?

Just my .2 cents. You have your way and I have my preferences. I'm glad people find this place helpful. I do not.

I've seen people make 50 posts in a day, and also received 5 helpfuls in a day. It is what it is.

If you do not find this site helpful anyway, why are you posting your complaints. Seems to me the best thing to do is to find a site that is helpful or start one of your own.

@Ruby, find subjects you like to talk about , go to off topic sbjects section, bs and laughter lives there, all kinds of things, pick something or join in banter and go for it. you shall get your posts and helpfuls in no time. Unlike dbers there is no flaming here, moderators will stop it or ban. if it were not so late more would have weighed in.We have very good people here and they can stop flaming without mods, just misdirect threads hope it helps smokinjoe

There are lots of reasons to make an effort to protect the senior section with some safeguards. Here are some of them:

Senior members often open up a lot more, sharing more of their RL selves than they would in the general section because the other participants in the senior section have demonstrated a modicum of self- control and helpfullness.

There are refences to substances that are best left off Google and other robot site spiders

There is a MUCH ratio of people dealing with long term health issues vs. people looking for recreational use as the latter group tend to be short- tempered and impatient so they go away.

The wating period also gives both shills and self- promoting scammers time to be exposed for what they are.

In short, the vast majority of people who make to senior don't mind this particular requirement because its the least onerous one they've had to deal with when compared to the medical industry.
