Default Impressions of Pharmacy Reviewer after 5 months...

    Oh the humanity....

I'm probably as old as any of the old timers on this board and have seen more than a few friends die from overdoses through the years. The latest was this spring, my assistant, smart young guy with a beautiful girlfriend, but heroin took him one night when no one was around. Others went down when their bodies failed them, or feuds broke out or they couldn't stop their destructive behavior because they were sick. I did what I could. I do what I can. I'm one of the lucky ones who always knows when I am approaching the void and can step back and hopefully warn others. Just be a friend and give them things to think about. I won't lecture them. There are plenty of soapboxes. Plenty of finger waggers. Does anyone really think a young person is going to respond to that? Did you? I'm sorry some here feel PR is not what they signed up for but I didn't notice a brochure with cruise options when I registered. I saw a cross section of modern people coming together for a common cause.

And maybe some of the older posters don't get the ironic nuance the youngsters have cultivated. Us old timers are all about sincerity but times have changes and modes of communications are not what they once were. Preaching and railing might not really be helping. Some of what I'm hearing condemned I took for light-hearted jesting and flat out tongue-in-cheek jesting.

Finally, and this is something I'm feeling stronger and stronger about, I think the mods and the admins have come up with a pretty viable model for a pharmacy review forum that operates as a big tent. Yet some members seem to thing they know better, or, worse, yearn for the good old days...way back in May...or want only bedridden chronic pain sufferers on here.

The more I read here the more I see people looking out for each other. Why? Because the mods have set up a system that encourages us project our personalities into this forum and that is what makes us care about each other instead of ending up with a bunch of ORDER-SHIPPED-RECIEVED call outs.

    Anyway, I'mma gonna shutup.

What do you think about the changes in the last two month?

@chemicalchart ,The most obvious change that I have noticed,is the loss of members, and the reduction of positive feedback concerning online vendors;Choices are very difficult, when reliability has been placed on the bottom shelf. It always made me wonder how some members were ordering constantly, and from several sites in the same week. Many have disappeared, and they could have come back as a new member, over and over. The active posters have really slowed down;Mostly, since the new rules for the restricted area have been changed. It has become like a bar at closing time around here;Only the hard core are left posting,or standing,if this was a bar.Still the best place around, and I have not even tried to be part of the other forums similar to PR. Maybe the new DB has taken those missing members away from us,but that is where they came from anyway.

I've noticed the absence of some great contributors too. A lot of them have gone missing over the last month.

EDIT: Nice to meet you too, @Bananastickers .

When you are part of a community, you will stick around if you are comfortable there. Many members of DB have claimed to be part of that forum for several years;I guess time has no bearing on belonging to a forum. We all have different paths to follow in life, and some people always stay on the same path for a long time.I know I have spent way to much time on this path to online meds, and it seems like there is a big tree that has fallen, and blocked my path about half way up a big hill! It looks like I will never get to see what is up that big hill to the unknown.

hello everyone. I'm new here and never actually used a board because I dont like to post but do like to read other peoples posts and reviews. I used to order from a few reliable places. Things changed with me so I stopped. Now things have changed online (i am talking like 2-3yrs now) and thanks to the goverment (and greedy pharmaceutical companies) it has become extreemly hard to find any place reliable and most I have found are blatent ripoffs (from research I have done and read).
I have actually had the DEA come to my door and ask me about one online place (scared the crap out of me actualy). I answered their questions then asked if I had done anything wrong and was told no, they were only interested in the place. Then I just said since I have done nothing wrong I guess we were done (after answering their questions of course). How things have changed. Not really sure this went with this post but thought you all might find it interesting

Helluvah first post @unwanted . I would wonder why the DEA would pay you a visit;YES I do find that interesting, since they have much more important things to do with taxpayers money. That would definitely keep me from joining a pharmacy reviewer forum;FOREVER! Anyhow, welcome to PR,and there is plenty to read about why you should not purchase anything besides Tylenol or Ibuprofen online.Good luck with your search.

My thoughts exctally, but it actually was not about me it was the begining of the end of decent online Pharmacys. None of the ones I had used are still active (some were gone before I got my unusual visit).
Its now buyer beware and if deliverd its not worth what it costs. Its probably cheaper and safer just to go down the street and buy them indivdually from a street corner. Thanks, I will read just to see how much things have really changed even though I already know.

Don't know how long you have been lurking prior to taking that "loo loo" of a first step with your first post. However, can you, will you share when this incident occurred? And approx. how old were you (in Earth years) when this happened?

Regardless, CONGRATULATIONS on your first post! Like the path to Oz (NOT that one), it's one foot after the other and when you least expect it...
    magchik

P.S. If this incident happened within the past 3 months, I have info on good authority that the agents were both @Keith K Stone ! Fair Dinks. You may know him by that name, but he's actually a chameleon. No, wait...a pretty pony. No, hmm, no... he was actually trying out this year's Halloween costume: twin DEA agents! (Did I mention his ability to bi-locate?) Actually he's just really a cool guy who happens to look like Capt. "why is the rum always gone?" Sparrow. (Did I mention that this forum is loaded with really guys and chiks?)

this happened about 4yrs ago if I remember correctly so I was old enough to know better but decided I wanted (more than needed) what I was purchasing. Does this answer your question?

    Default gee

gee that is so nice to know that they made that much of an expenditure to "question" 1 individual about 1 online pharmacy......think about it........the salary they made for the day.......pretty much a day to get in your car and drive out to talk to someone.............so we have their salary pay.......the vehicle expenditure with mileage and fuel costs.......then the fact that they made no progress on a real physical visual type crime that probably ended in some sort of violence...........yeah yeah our Gov hard at work FVCKING YOU!

I think that the number of posts required on this site to get any useful info is unreasonable. I hope that they understand when we leave tons of posts in one day in order to get our count up.

*This post was auto-merged. The following text was added 3 minutes after the last post:*

Wow! I can't believe that they actually came to your door to ask questions!!! It is nice information to hear that they said you haven't done anything wrong. Had you ordered from that one place before? I don't think it is right for the US to tell companies in OTHER countries what they can do. America really does have an ego problem.

    Cool post count panic

The friends here have all joined for different reasons..I joined to help others with advise on medical issues as I'm and EMT.I joined to get advise on medications and my own health issues as a Disabled vet..and apainpatient myselfI wasn't in a rushfor posts or #s of helpfull blips. Some of us just enjoy meeting new friends from around the world whom have things in common. Some just want to get to that restricted area thinking ,man there are all the sources for med's to use or abuse...Positive meaningfull posts being kind to all will get you"there if (there)whereever there is happens all by itself. You can't get into the wheelhouse until you learn the deck..You cannot make Majior until you make Captain...Thats just the way everything in life is...

Hey Captain good to see you. The hidden section ain't all that as I keep trying to tell people.98% of information can be had by reading all the viewable forums and searching in the search bar for a source or drug. It is not hard to get posts here as we always chit chat about something on here.

Default @Rescue3000, you are very helpful and so kind, and that's why I'm here.

Getting to know others whether to help, ask for help, or even joke around is why I'm here. I just became a senior member and it's great! Sure I can get into the restricted area, but what I really like is to have a place to go and just talk about anything. Heck, my first thread that I started was about a sensitve issue! It's challenging here and it's comfortable.

This forum is so much better than DB, and I hope more members hang in and post. Don't worry so much about stats! They will come as they will.

I thank you all for accepting me in here. And don't run away.

    Peace and less pain,
    Deb

That is putting it very very nicely.
Admins will impersonate other users, change any negative post, ban anyone who complains, then change their complaints to glowing reviews, claim to have escrow deposits from verfied sellers, scam every single person who sends any payment to a seller they meet there (all the people running the site).

Its not just a bad rep, or a few bad apples hiding decent people. 100% scams, every thread. Every positive feedback is a lie.

The real fun doesn't start til after they scam you either. They go for some extortion, blackmail, a couple threats. Real nice guys over there.

Sorry just thought I'd hammer that point home for you @kineticode
