I have taken 7 ambien sleeping pills (10mg) and I still cant sleep. I'm wide
awake. Other than me imagining? I have invinsioned mexicans following me all over my aparment and annoying the hell out of me. How many more do i take before I will fall asleep and not die.
What you don't understand is that I usualy have to take more than one but this time, they aren't working or I'm fighting them. I just want to take enough to fall asleep and then wake up in the morning.

Please do not take anymore! Ambien works on most people but not all..... With some people, it can act like caffeine! You maybe one of those people....If you are bored and want to fall asleep read. Ambien is not the kind of sleeping pill you need. Call a 24-hr pharmacist if you do not believe me. You are only keeping yourself up. Not good. Sorry, not being able to sleep sucks! Read something really boring and you will be sleeping like a baby or do some meditating and try to free your mind if you are staying up because you can't stop thinking about things!

You need to not take any more at all. You will have hallucinations if you take Ambien and not go to sleep as it is a hypnotic. You have to be careful that you don't sleep-walk or sleep-eat as well. This is extremely dangerous.

umm try going to a doctor. ambiem's really strong, and dude... you're hallucinating.

Try to lay down and close your eyes, even if you don't get any sleep... I'm an insomniac too, and what really helps me is a colder room, a bigger bed with a medium hard mattress, no light showing whatsoever, and a sleep CD that they sell at places like Bed Bath and Beyond. Try taking melatonin, it's natural and has less side affects.

You can also drink tea and take a bubble bath. Stretching before bed really helps too.

Just don't take anymore. It might be dangerous.

Hope that helped!
best of luck,

First, of all, lay off the pills. They are not Helping you. You may want to call your local ER and see if they think you should come in. But don't take any more. By the way, are you on anti depressants and have missed a few days?? That is exactly the way I get when I forget to take mine. If not you should go see a Sleep Doc. Good luck!!

Well, you obviously (?) have too much stress.

Whenever I have too much stress, I try to eat better, get excersize, and of course the obvious things like give up caffeine, sugar.

I am not a psychologist and only had one class in college, so whatever.

It is possible your brain is chemically imbalanced. If you know this, then you just sit tight until you can see a doctor. Chemical imbalances can make you afraid if you think that there is something to fear, when in fact you have just worked yourself up. The chemicals are necessary since they help you hunt and run after game (which of course you probably don't do!). That is why exercise can often help.
