Zoloft side effects: Don't know if I can take this much longer.
I have been on Zoloft since December 2006, 100mg/day for Social Anxiety Disorder. Lately, I have been extremely dizzy, moody, and I feel "jolts" when I move my head quickly. I get these symptoms if I stop taking the medicine for a few days, but I haven't missed a dose within the past few days. About two weeks ago, I went 4 days without taking my meds, which was the longest I've ever gone, but I have been on track lately. I am trying to study for an exam I have tomorrow, but I can't focus and just want to go to bed. I feel like I will start crying at any moment, and I don't know what I should do. I won't be able to switch medications or see/talk to a doctor anytime soon, so that's not an option. Is there anything I can do in the near future/tonight? Any suggestions will help!
I realize that consistancy is very important with these medications, but I have been very religious with taking appropriate doses at correct times. Please understand that I realize this. The problem is that despite correctly taking the meds, I am having wicked side-effects.

You're Not Supposed To Go On And Off These Meds!!!
There May Be A Chance That 100 Mgs Are Too Much, But You Never Just Stop!!
Meds Like These Can Be Very Helpful To Some People, Maybe Even Most, Depending On What Ails You.
If You Want To Discontinue Using Zoloft, You Must Taper Off It's Use. First, Get Back To Your Standard Dose Untill Your Feeling Okay Then Reduce It By 1/4 Or 25% And Stay There For Ten Days.. Then Do It Again Repeatedly Until You're Off The Stuff. Or Maybe You'll Stay At 50% Or Whatever...good Luck!

You could (and maybe should) go to the ER tonight. Make sure it's nothing to worry about. Then schedule an appointment with your DR. and have your dosage adjusted. Maybe you should take something else.
I do not believe in taking meds. I think they are over-prescribed and under-tested. You might as well take poison.

I am on Zoloft as well and I know those EXACT feeling...though only when I have forgotten to take my meds. Try seeing the your doctor ASAP...maybe your meds are screwed up...or maybe you need a higher dose. Did the doc lower your dose recently.

I hope you feel better really soon...I know EXACTLY how horrible this feels. TAKE CARE!
