My dr prescribed topamax for my frequent headaches. She said it may also help me lose weight. It has been over 3 weeks since I dropped the presciption off. Why does my insurance not want to cover it? It is 134 dollars without insurance. Is there a generic form? If so, is it expensive too?
I was prescribed topamax for depression but stopped taking it, i didn't like it. My insurance didn't cover it either because they do not make a generic yet. However I went through the makers prescription assistance program, filled out the application, as did my doc and they accepted me for a year of it for free. I know it is CRAZY expensive.
