Can I take more than the recommended dose of hydrocodone right now?

Hi, i got my wisdom teeth taken out this morning and the pain killer that i was given is called hydrocodone, and i'm supposed to take one every four hours. it's a bit past midnight and the last time i took one was ten o'clock. do you think anything terrible would happen if i took two right now so it is easier and less painful to sleep through the whole night?

Try taking two Acetominophen (Tylenol) instead or Ibuprofen. I'll bet you'll find that it will take the edge off the pain to allow you to get some sleep. Be careful with Hydrocodone - it can be very habit forming. Take only as directed.

It's a little early. I wouldn't take it any earlier than 1 am.
