what can counter the effect of birth control pills?

My wife has gotten pregnant twice from being on them. Is there a vitamin or supplement that can be counteracting this?
she says the only thing she was taking was allergy medication... i joke all the time that she was taking sugar pills, btw its a boy due jan 12

I dont think so. Everything has a failure rate. I got pregnant with my first on the pills and i wasnt taking anything, only my pill. My second i got pregnant on the depo shot. Some forms of birth control just dont work as great on certain people....AND I WAS TAKING MINE lol......was she?

other than antibiotics, quite a few herbal supplements can. the one I know of is St Johns Wort will counter birth control and most people don't know about it. A lot of prescription anti-depressants will also mess with birth control.

Certain antibiotics...or she just isn't being as religious as she should be about taking her pills.

the only thing that i know of that can cause birth control pills to not be effective is any antibiotic.

Antibiotics can. She should talk to her doc about what she's taking and what she can do.
