I can't see the pictures I've taken when I go to attach them to an email...

...- I only see little generic pix.... I used to be able to attach pictures when emailing - I would click on pictures and then whichever file I opened I would see a thumbnail of all of the pictures...now all I see is a little generic picture of a beach and I have to literally open a bunch of pictures just to find the one I want to attach...My operating system is Vista - the program is explore. Someone please help me!

In the contents window of the folder, right-click, and from among the View choices - details, icon, thumbnail - choose thumbnail.
