Can I mix Xanax and sleeping pills

I have sleeping problems and I took 1.5 MG of Xanax to help. It isn't working. Can I take the over the counter drug "Tylenol Simply Sleep" without having to worry about any interactions? The only drug in simply sleep is Diphenhydramine. Anyone?
