Is Soma a narcotic
My doc prescribed me Soma for a broken tailbone in conjuction with pain killers. I was wondering if this medication is habit forming and narcotic because I saw it mentioned on an episode of Cops where 2 crackheads had some in there purse. I am concerned because I am a new mother that cares for a small child and do not want to take anything that would potentially alter my judgement.

No it's a muscle relaxer but not a narcotic.

It's a muscle relaxer that I have been taking for years. The ones I take are 350 mg. and they can make you feel a little off balance at first. But it is a very effective medication.

I take 1 first thing in the morning and one before bedtime along with a bunch of other pain meds for a cervical spine injury

I wouldn't go for a drive until you see what it will do to you but my experience is after 2-3 days it just does what it is suppose to and I didn't feel the other effects as bad.

I believe it suppose to be habit forming but there are plenty of days I don't take any because I don't feel the need and I don't feel any difference.
