which do you find is best for anxiety?(paxil, lexapro, effexor or zoloft)?

i am seeing a psychiatrist and i tried for awhile paxil and then for awhile lexapro but neither really helped me. now i'm trying effexor. so which is the best out of the four overall? but really bc two of them already didn't work, which is better effexor or zoloft?

Boy, I think those are all SSRI antidepressants. I wonder why he/she didn't try a different class of medication??

Buspar is in its own class. Don't get hooked on the benzos such as ativan, xanax, etc. They are addictive and can cause short term memory problems.

I have found that dressing warmly, doing meditation tapes (guided imagery, progressive muscle relaxation) and taking hot baths helps a lot. I have bipolar disorder and cannot take any anxiety meds, and those above tips have helped. Maybe they will help you in the meantime. Oh, exercise helps too.
